2-Speed pump will not run on High Speed from controller. Runs High Speed manually

I have a Blue Haven controller with a 2-speed pump and a mechanical timer.

High speed runs fine on manual controller, but only runs for ~1 minute on the mechanical timers automated control. Ny local pool company is suggesting to abandon the old board and timer and add a new box and timer.

Where should I start investigating, timer, control board, etc?

Your Blue Haven mechanical controller is obsolete. If you are adventurous enough with a multimeter you can try and find the problem and repair it. Otherwise look at an Intermatic timer or a Hayward OmniHub.
