A vacuum to defeat all vacuums

I second the Pool Blaster Max. I've had one for going on three years, it's great. Change the batteries at the beginning of the season and again halfway through, empty during use and rinse it after every use, and it'll do you proud! What I love about it is it picks up those tiny acorns oak trees...

How often do you manual vacuum your pool?

I have a WaterTech Leaf Blaster, battery operated, and I have my son vacuum at least every other day, due to the massive oak in the front yard dropping leaves, twigs, catkins, and tiny acorns all the dang time. If we don't keep on top of it, it would be a hot mess out there. I never minded...

What’s against using an inground cleaner on a abg pool?

It will be fine for the floors, but don't expect it to climb the walls very well.

    Rigging a boost pump

I have a Polaris 360 aka wheely guy I got from a wonderful user here on TFP. I'm unable to use it until I get my new 1 hp pump set up, but I was wondering -- is there any way to rig up my old 0.5 hp pump through a second return for the Polaris? I mean using the old pump as a booster pump for the...

Intex 15ft Round - Manual Vacuum w/out Major Modification

I have a 14 ft Bestway pool, similar to an Intex pool. Unless you have at least a 3/4 hp pump, you don't have enough suction to keep a vacuum hooked to the suction side to work. It won't stay stuck on. I know this from experience. Last year I got a WaterTech Pool Blaster battery operated...

How to vacuum small Intex AGP

There's the Water Tech Pool Blaster, which I use. Battery powered, no hoses to fight with, does a fantastic job. Pool Leaf Blaster

    Above Ground Vacuum Opinions

I can't afford a robot, so I invested in a Water Tech Pool Blaster. I love it! https://www.amazon.com/Pool-Blaster-11A0000-Leaf-Vacuum/dp/B00IYPRLH8/ref=sr_1_11?crid=3A5Q1Y8X2M9QL&dchild=1&keywords=water+tech+pool+blaster&qid=1622849972&sprefix=Water+tech%2Caps%2C269&sr=8-11 I bought it last...

does anyone actually LIKE doing a manual vacuum of their pool....

it's battery operated, no hoses. And yes, it picks dead insects.

does anyone actually LIKE doing a manual vacuum of their pool....

I love it. Takes me about half an hour with the Pool Blaster, I move slow and get everything. I call it my Zen time. I vac in the morning, about 930 or 10, it's relatively cool, no noise, birds singing, just a nice quiet time. Just shuffling around the pool, upper body muscles working smoothly...

How Often Do You Run your Vacuum?

I usually vacuum every morning, but I've been coping with an RA flare in my ankles, so I've only been vac'ing every other day. We have a big oak tree in the front yard that overhangs the pool some (it's in the sideyard) and drops leaves, catkins, and acorns in the pool, depending on the season...

    Should vacuuming be this hard?

Aren't they great? All the Zen of vacuuming with none of the hassle of hoses and suction failures!

Looking for a *better* pool vac system

I have a Watertech Pool Blaster and I love it. Just move it around the pool floor and it picks up everything, even the baby acorns that were the bane of my existence last year! Cost me $80 or so on eBay. Battery operated, AA batteries.

    Should vacuuming be this hard?

I have a Watertech Pool Blaster, runs off batteries. Best $80 I ever spent.

Water Tech Pool Blaster battery powered

UPDATE: it's been 6 weeks and it's still going strong on the original batteries. I've used it almost every day, too -- way more than 3 hours!

    Recommendations on pool cleaners

I personally love the Polaris pressure side cleaners. If you're handy, you can get a factory rebuild kit and build your own for half the price of a new one, which is about $400.

Places to get pool cleaners other than in pool stores

I like eBay and Craigslist. Sometimes people here sell or give away equipment -- I scored a Polaris 360 and all the hoses for the cost of shipping from a TFP member! $36 for the win!

Having problems with my pool blaster vac

Go to Water Tech, go to Products, then find your vacuum. Scroll down the page to the parts list link, and click that. That will take you to a page where you can order parts. If the vac is less than a year old, it should still be under warranty. I'd explore that avenue, too.

    Need a better vacuum

I have a Water Tech Pool Blaster and I love it. The bag is a very fine mesh, and you can buy even finer micromesh bags for it. It even comes with batteries!

Water Tech Pool Blaster battery powered

It was picking up everything I threw at it today. I don't know how well the OEM filter bag would do with really small stuff, but Water Tech also sells microfine mesh filter bags. At the very least it would stir it up into the water so the filter itself would catch up. Can't wait to see how it...

Water Tech Pool Blaster battery powered

Well, here it is: I LOVE IT!! Took it out this morning to do the first pass of vacuuming, and it worked like a champ. Even picked up small twigs! Nice big bag, so I didn't have to empty it until I was done. Runs quietly, even out of the water. Easy to maneuver. Easy assembly. Comes WITH 8 AA...

Water Tech Pool Blaster battery powered

Pool Blaster Battery Powered Leaf Vac | Water Tech™ Official Corporate Site Has anyone with a small (14x48") above ground pool tried this thing? How did you like it? I've ordered one off eBay for the little acorns that start falling about mid-July... they were the bane of my existence last...

    Rebuilt my Polaris 280

We bought a house with a pool about 20 years ago, before we bought this one without a pool. I rebuilt the Polaris 360 that came with the house, and my, but wasn't that satisfying! Ran like a champ for the rest of our time at that house! And I loved the tinkering I got to do -- wasn't it pure fun!?!

    What vacuum head?

UPDATE: I got the Leaf Blaster and tried it. It failed miserably. We have plenty of water pressure, and the net on the thing floats up nicely, but it wouldn't pick up any of the baby acorns or leaves. I'm sending it back to Amazon tomorrow.

    What vacuum head?

    What vacuum head?

I'll find out soon enough: I just ordered a Jandy Leaf Blaster and a fine mesh bag. Curiously enough, the same Leaf Blaster is listed on Amazon twice, at two different prices. One at $21 and one at $64. Both branded "Leaf Blaster". How odd.

    What vacuum head?

First of all, any kind of pressure/suction side cleaner or robotic cleaner is out. I'm saving up for a Polaris 360 cleaner, but that won't be for a while. Why a Polaris 360? I've already owned one and loved it. I have a large oak tree near my pool. It has been dropping small single acorns in my...
