    The "other" ingredients are water and a dash of lye. It's the same stuff you would buy at the pool store. No worries at all in using it. Enjoy your free stuff. In checking it seems that there is an Ollie's near you in Ft Myers. Perhaps your friend shops there. ;-)

    It's 10%. Bought the same stuff from Ollie's. I think the date code (from what I can see is 19 120s?) is fresh. Should be nearly full strength remaining if so.

    Their website has a link to a YouTube video about "How It Works" that says it uses an ion generator to kill bacteria and algae and your filter traps particle debris. No mention of any oxidizing agent. I imagine it also will cause copper to build up in the water.
