Cloudy pool

This is our third summer with an inground pool. This time we can’t get the water perfect. It’s getting clearer after a month of different chemicals, floc, and now more chemicals, but still not crystal clear like the past 2 summers. I did the strip test and the results are....

Hi there! Unfortunately we can't help you by relying on test results from strips. You need to purchase a high quality pool test kit such as the Taylor K2006C or the TF-100. See: Test Kits Compared - Trouble Free Pool

It would also help us to help you if you update your signature with information about your pool. See here: Read This BEFORE You Post - Trouble Free Pool

I would also immediately discontinue any use of any flocculant or clarifier type products as those will cause you more problems than they are worth.

Also, please disregard pool store testing (like stuff about phosphates).

Once you get your test kit, post up your results from that and we'll be glad to help. For now, I would recommend 5 parts per million daily liquid chlorine until your kit arrives. No powdered chlorine or tablets until you know your results. Only liquid chlorine.
