Maybe I missed this reply, but my copy of the manual for the IC40 says minimum salt is 3600ppm. Oddly enough 3600 is also listed as optimum. Kindof a small range. However, I often get 3400 from my 1766 test kit while the cell displays salt is OK. So, there may be a problem with your cell...

According to my IC40 manual, the flashing green cell light means the scg needs to be inspected. The blades may have calcium buildup. The cell is not producing chlorine.

Minor point. If you look at Jim's earlier comment, he suggested an IC40 might be a bit small for your 30k gallon pool. This might be the time to consider an IC-60.

I get no reply from Pentair tech support on this. My IC40 is connected via the IntelliConnect and shows up in Pentair Home. Pentair Home reports the "Chlorine Output" plus Salt Level (only Good or ?) and the Salt Cell Water Temp. The Chlorine Output is adjustable IN THE APP in 1% increments...

One more thing. The Taylor 1766 test kit is inexpensive and is the "gold standard" for testing for salt. Your APERA PC60-Z is another electronic tester and susceptible to all the things that make your other equipment questionable at times.

Two things you'll read here all the time: If the Salt Good light is on, don't worry; and get a Taylor K-1766 salt test kit. I agree with both of those.

Maybe/probably not an issue but... K1766 has a +/- error factor. The IC60 has a +/- error factor. Pentair says 3600ppm is both the minimum and ideal salt concentration. Easy and cheap to add another bag of salt.
