    Paver stripper in pool water

Nope, not exactly. The sealant is a topical sealant, the msds says polyacrylate dispersion ,trade secret, and glycol ether, trade secret. The stripper is d’limonene and benzyl alcohol as the main components. Any metals would be from the pavers themselves, and whatever dirt and debris was on...

    Paver stripper in pool water

I was looking at this based off another post. I don’t have an easy way to vacuum to waste, so I am not sure this is will be great.

    Paver stripper in pool water

We are really splitting hairs if it’s off by a drop. 70 vs 80. In this case I am not sure it really makes much difference. It’s also possible I used the smaller sample size, which has a multiplier of 25, in which case 75 is a reasonable measure, and not necessarily inaccurate in this case.

    Paver stripper in pool water

TA is measuring 80 today. It turns pink at 70 and brighter at 80, so I probably split the difference.

    Paver stripper in pool water

I measured TA yesterday before I raised the chlorine levels, so no, not an estimate. And yes, I usually use the 10ml for chlorine. Will try displacing water.

    Paver stripper in pool water

we had our patio stripped. Long story short, paver sealer company sold us a bag of Crud, and we had our patio stripped several months ago, and they re-sealed it. Took a good month to get the pool back to normal. Now, since the pavers were sealed and the sealant failed, we had it stripped again...

    Algae??

It’s not a man made paver stone. It’s limestone like travertine.

    Algae??

The stripper contains D’limonene and Benzyl Alcohol. The sealant contains Polyacrylate Dispersion and Glycol Ether, along with possible proprietary ingredients which they won’t share. The staff person I talked to, said typically any issues I am having would be coming from whatever was...

I can start the oclt right now. Just noticed the walls being slimy today. Wasn’t like that the past several days.

    Algae??

That’s a good question. I am not sure the chemicals used, but will find out tomorrow. As far as junk, that would be any algae, sand, old sealant, plus the sealant remover, and whatever cleaning chemicals. The process used, was to apply what I would assume is a solvent to the existing sealer...

    Algae??

Not sure how it got in, other than possible from the pool deck being cleaned? Possibly from the travertine??

    Algae??

My pool is green. We just had our pool deck stripped and re-sealed. So, a ton of junk was washed into the pool water. The water turned cloudy green just after this, and I slammed the pool. The pool was then crystal clear and blue for about a day and then started turning green again, while...

Grout disintegrating and algae above water line

My pool water is clear and is generally balanced besides a rising pH. I have what appears to be algae along my tiles at the west end of the pool. It’s all above the waterline by 1-2 inches. Also my grout looks awful. Looks like sand possibly poor application/mix, but I think it’s wearing away...

    Staining from water fill?

thanks for the response. You’re right, it doesn’t look yellow to me either. I was told that it looks yellowish up close. Yes, the darker gray area around the drain is the stain in question. I was told yesterday that the pump was only there to remove water and acid and water after they were...

    Staining from water fill?

The staining didn’t appear immediately. The pool builder treated it as iron, since it has a slight yellow tint around it, but it appeared around a month after being filled. Nothing really seems to lighten it, and I am now wondering if it is from when the pool was filled. Check out the hose...

Sutro device, anyone know if it works?

I have the blueriiot version. It’s great for monitoring water temp, and the pH and salt level are pretty accurate so far. Mine measures orp, but it doesn’t really give me fc levels. So I disregard that. I like it as a quick ph measure on the pool, since it’s new, and creeps high pretty quickly...

    New pool, staining, chlorine loss

Pinch a penny doesn’t have an iron test today, but they did test my water. They used all of it, so I can’t check the other location. CH is higher than my test. I did add a liter of chlorine after my testing this morning.
