The pool company is coming to take a look this week to hopefully confirm what’s going on, my next issue is I’m starting to get a good amount of Algea. Any reason I can’t add some chlorine and mix it using my sump pump, or am I better off just dealing with it when I get the pump issue fixed?

No automation, man that’s not good. Pump was installed October 2019 but not used used until May 2020, you’d expect it to last longer then that.

The pump will not run at all, I open the cover to the digital screen and it’s blank. So I have no way of starting the pump. How would I check that? Also I searched but could not find, do these pumps have any fuses that could go bad?

Pool is still looking good, I just received my 50ppm standard and now I’m concerned my CYA may be a lot higher then I thought. I was under the impression the test was over when the dot just barely disappears? I mixed the solution poured to 50 ppm line and can’t under any conditions make that dot...

So I may have found my problem, should have not been lazy last time. Just pulled the trim ring off the lights and can see visible algae, not a ton. If I take those out and clean them by hand do you think a full slam is necessary?

I’ll had them to my log but my numbers are, FC 11.5 Cc 0 Cya 70-80 Ph 7.6 Ch 70 TA 70 The FC is high from my adding a galling of chlorine last night, I only had a gallon left until I go today. ph was measured last night when chlorine was below 10ppm.

So back to the algae, I realize I have to SLAM again. How do I know I’m done considering I’m currently passing the Oclt with no problem and it takes around 5 days for the algae to come back. Should I just maintain shock levels for those 5 days?

I have not tried testing those areas but I certainly will, I checked all those areas except for behind the lights and they were clean. You might be spot on with this, tested last night and again this morning. CYA 50-60 PH 7.3 TA 60 FC 8.5. Tested the same thing this morning using the 10ML sample. Tested again 4-5 hours later and I’m getting the same 8.5FC I’m assuming I’m not losing much if any due to the fact it’s 60 and cloudy?

I have a Taylor test kit, it’s doesn’t appear like dust as it doesn’t lay flat on the pool bottom like dust it almost has a texture to it. If that makes any sense, it also showed up in the same general area 2 days. I’ll test the water and get some Numbers

First time I have seen it, if I hit it with the brush it goes away.
