    Salt high or low??

Just did another test just to further verify the K-1766 5ml of tap water (which has 200 or less ppm of salt measured that separately prior) mixed with 5ml of pool water and read 2600ppm salt. So I'm going to put money on the correct reading from the test. Used backwash then rinsed and dropped...

    Salt high or low??

Okay here goes... Salt test kit (k-1766) says my Salt is at 5000. However, my SWG has the low Salt indicator on. I'm not sure which to believe. Prior to this new issue all was happy happy happy and I had one of plastic lines disconnect from the pool 3 times draining the pool below the skimmer...

    Questions on Switching Over

Yes I use the pool math but I use the website. I'll get the app going this week. I love it so much! It is my saving grace lol. FC - 5ish this morning (used the less accurate reader in the little blue box this morning) CC - less that .5 PH - appears to be at 7.2 TA - haven't tested yet since...

    Questions on Switching Over

Okay I'm a Newb on this... so here goes. Hopefully my signature is updated properly. Approximately 4300ish gallons Summer Waves (14×48 round). Bought my salt (3-40# bags) from "start up chart" in SWG manual. I'm placing an order for the K-1766 and a couple other regents from my TF-100 that are...

One leg starting to come off of paver!

No that's weird. That was last years easy set 10ft pool we had. We changed to a 14×48 round which states 4625 gallons. I thought I changed my signature though. It further states they are only filled (metal frame pools) to 90% capacity which puts me at 4162ish... I guess.

One leg starting to come off of paver!

Sorry Sorry I'm slow. But I thought the clay was best because that what I was supposed to put the pool on anyway (compacted soil). Which I thought was sometimes clay. Mostly with the depth that I'm at anyway. So what I went with was the same width paver I found but 3.5 inches longer and drained...

One leg starting to come off of paver!

You don't think the pool sitting on top of a 1st paver is a even worse idea though? That's what I'm afraid of. I had also thought of partial drain prior so I could add clay easier. I also had the idea of buying a few larger pavers as mine are 7x7. I should have from the beginning but because our...

One leg starting to come off of paver!

I still not sure of the best option to do? Partial drain and try to move both pavers out and slide some clay under that void best we can or put a 2nd paver behind. What do you think is the best choice?

One leg starting to come off of paver!

I am in Ohio... and that is actually one of my questions is can I winterize it? It's just liner hanging over the metal (somewhat coated frame I guess). The manual says if temp gets below freezing to drain, but what do you experts say? Will ice punching the liner? Is that the concern? Or is it...

One leg starting to come off of paver!

Yes it's round. On the low side of full. Yes, I'm very concerned with the rub as well. I kind of did something that might be good or bad in our set up that might save a bit on the front edge of the paver... but I sliced a cheaper pool noodle in half a used the half circle (moon shape) to buffer...

One leg starting to come off of paver!

Guys please help! One leg is started to come off my paver. It was suggested to place another paver behind and try to "cushion" this one somehow. What do you guys think of that idea?? I DON'T want to drain please.... My 2nd leg that is in question is at the very edge is on the side that had to...

    Help stagnant water!

So I began the leveling project to put in my above ground pool. We removed lots of boulders that we encountered and low aread clay soil. Well it has been raining non-stop and I have water sitting stagnant in areas that are low. It's not draining off and not really evaporating. Even if it...

    New Summer Waves 14x48

Thank you for that info. Pavers it is! So to that effect it says to take it down (seasonal). I'm in Ohio and certainly get below freezing but with what others have said I'm thinking of throwing the dice for a leaving up. My Step-mom says the ice will puncture the liner and says it's a bladder...

    New Summer Waves 14x48

I have read that some people put the pool legs on cement blocks. The instructions just say to put straight on the ground. I turn to you guys for all the best pool advice! Should I put down the cement pavers against what the manual says? If so, I read an article posted on another thread that...

    Summer Waves - 14 ×48 (Can't Winterize??)

Mine does have the combo skimmer/pump that installs on the wall of the pool. I'm very nervous about that set up because I always had a hard time loosening to top off my other one that sat on the ground to clean the cartridge daily. Now the installation manual doesn't say to add pavers. I've got...

    Summer Waves - 14 ×48 (Can't Winterize??)

I made the jump this year from an easy set pool to this Summer Waves 14 ft. in plans to upgrade when needed again (2/3 yrs) and am hoping to prepare (level) my pool area ONCE. I realize I'll have to touch it up a bit. I will probably just go to 16 foot next time nothing too large. However, I...

Saltwater 5000 (Pool Fsctory) vs Saltwater Destiny (Royal)??

Hey guys for those of you that chimed in so far I really appreciate it!! I decided to really pull back and bought the Summer Waves 14' x 48" (basket weave lookalike) since I wasn't sure which of the more expensive ones to go with just yet. It would be so awesome to get 2/3ish summers from this...

Saltwater 5000 (Pool Fsctory) vs Saltwater Destiny (Royal)??

Oh no! That Aurora is surely going to be out of our price range. I really hate to spend this money twice though. So since they are both "saltwater friendly/approved" I wonder what the expected life would be.

Saltwater 5000 (Pool Fsctory) vs Saltwater Destiny (Royal)??

First off I want to say that this forum has been a lifesaver!! I'm trying to decide between these two pools. I'm going to convert to Salt water after my first season as this first season I can't afford to get that part going. I've read a ton and the suggestions about getting resin with the...
