    Is this mustard algae

Question on boosting the chlorine for 24 hours at mustard algae level which is 29.4 for me, do you have to maintain it at that level by checking each hour and adjusting, or do you just get it to 29.4 and done?

    Is this mustard algae

I am in the process of slamming my pool following the advice in the pool school section and was reading through the other articles and came upon one on mustard algae. While reading I start to think about the stuff I thought was pollen. So I took a pic of it to see if anyone thinks it is...

    Can't Get CYA up

FC has dropped to 5 ppm, so I turned the salt cell back on, trying it at 40%, see if I need to increase. I have dry stabilizer, with the sock method am I putting it in a actually foot sock and sticking that in the skimmer then running the pump for 24 hours?

    Can't Get CYA up

I measured my CYA and it says 60. Path math is telling me to add 70 oz of liquid stabilizer. Do I add it to my skimmer?

    Can't Get CYA up

I had the same thought and pushed my chlorine to 8 ppm. Just tested and I am now at 16 ppm after two days. So I think I am now building chlorine. I shut off the salt cell and I am going to let it drop. Then will see if I can hold it. I will test CYA on Wednesday. Thanks for the help guys.

    Can't Get CYA up

The test kit I am using is the TFTestkits TF-100. I am using the poolmath to determine how much to add. I added 50 ounces to get to 4 ppm. I will try test at the return.

    Can't Get CYA up

The pool just got built. The pool is been on salt for a month now. I have been manually putting the chlorine in myself to keep it there, but it keeps losing the chlorine. The over night test didn't see lost due to night, so it is the sun eating it up.

    Hydrazzo Too Sensitive?

The pool is still being built so I don't know. I have heard at some point it needs to be re-polished, so we will see. I am only pay 1000 for it, so not sure why you have such a high up charge. Now if it last as long as plaster which can last from 15 - 25 years, that is not bad for 1000 bucks.

    New Build in Tampa

If you can go with the biggest filter you can get. The contractor will say you are fine, but my neighbor built his pool with the standard filter and he has to clean it constantly.

    New Build in Tampa

The dimensions are 14 by 31 with it bigger on the sunself side. I didn't want a complete rectangle pool but my wife wanted to maximize space. So the compromise was a L shape. Here is what the finished product should look like *cross fingers*.
