    Closed pool pH rise

It's three years old. I pour it in a corner and then agitate it with one of the pool brushes, a lot.

    Closed pool pH rise

Hi all, My pool is currently closed. I had an issue last winter with too high of pH causing scaling. I've been checking the pH and adding acid every other week or so. Every time I check it, it has risen to 8.2. The TA was fine when I closed it and has been at the same level, 70, every time I...

    Calcium Carbonate pool drained

Hi all, My pb is going to be draining my pool for a beam repair. I have calcium carbonate scaling on the plaster. Was thinking of doing an acid wash to get rid of it but that seems rather involved. Any suggestions on what to do while it's drained?

    Decking and beam

Nope, nothing between them. They already pulled off some coping and it's just mud bed and tile.

    Decking and beam

Hi all! Had a fiew pieces of concrete decking replaced on our new pool. When they cut old decking out, I noticed it was sitting on top of beam. Is that ever ok? We have broken coping and tiles in one corner.

    Trying to SLAM

Thanks all for your help! Passed an OCLT and let chlorine come down to normal level. SWG no longer shooting clouds of microbubbles and the water is the clearest I've ever seen it! TFP FTW! Kids even got in yesterday while I was at Boy Scout Leader training. What it looked like: Now:

    Trying to SLAM

New twist. I can't get to my shock level still. Chlorine not be using quite as fast. OCLT was from 15 to .5. Pool math said to add 4 gallons of 10%. Did that and it is now holding at 18, did two tests at 15 minute intervals. CC is in between .5 and 1. Added another gallon, still 18. That's the...

    Trying to SLAM

Got past the ammonia! Only took 25 gallons of 10%. Now to SLAM, which is holding at 24ppm and little to no CC. Will do an OCLT tonight. Water is way clearer!

    Trying to SLAM

Won't stop, until the last 4 gallons run out, then back to Lowe's for me.

    Trying to SLAM

Pretty sure it's ammonia, I'm on my 3rd round bringing it up to 10ppm, took over a gallon of 10% each time so far. Water way clearer than it was

    Trying to SLAM

Nope, triple checked, pool liquid chlorine 10% from Lowe's. No foam, it's a gas type substance that turns to a foggy mist.

    Trying to SLAM

Hi all, Trying to SLAM, started yesterday afternoon. Pre-slam test results: TA: 150 CH: 325 PH: 7.4 FC: 0 CYA: 60 I started with 3.5 gallons 10% chlorine. FC want up to 18 but was almost immediately down to 9 with high CC. Added 2 more gallons. Can't even get FC to shock level. So far I've put...
