    Liquid chlorine Pricing

    I used to get 12% liquid chlorine from local pool store in 2.5g jugs. This year it costs $6 per gallon. In Homedepot I can buy 10% 1g liquid chlorine for $4.50(pool essentials). Assuming both are fresh, is there any point buying 12% and paying $1.50 more per gallon vs 10%?

    Chlorine level at closing

    Why shock level is recommended for closing? If you have solid pool cover the high clorine level is bad for the cover and will shorten its life. If you add algecide and closing in colder temperature, it will be ok without shock level, no alge will grow
