Just checked the Pool Essentials bleach at Walmart here in Longview and it is still all dated 18 350. Too old for me.

Just wanted to update this post and let everyone know that the pole I mentioned above is still going strong with no signs of wear. It stays out on my deck year round. (I don't use the back of my shed to store items anymore).

I went even with the rail but added a ring of deck boards around the pool so that I could remove them easily if needed for access. I'm still working on keeping the grandkids off the top rail even though this pool is supposedly rated to handle it. I'd rather they stay off, though.

Ditto what jblizzle said. I get a large bubble showing while running my pump on low speed but it will disappear when I run on high speed and even faster when I bleed the air from the top of my cartridge filter. It will come back in short time, though, while running at low speed.

Make sure you unscrew the lock ring first. I have the same fountain and haven't had a problem removing it.

I have not tracked temperature but my fountain does seem to help. You get more evaporation running during the day and evaporation is how they cool. Temperatures drop at night so my pool cools down from that and then the sun heats it back up. I also have only one return so I turn the fountain...

They are called end caps and you can attach your bonding lugs to them. Doughboy pools recommended that for bonding their pools with resin verticals. That is how I bonded mine.

If the vertical end caps are metal you could attach to them (the bottom ones). That is what I did and what Doughboy (made my pool) recommended to me. I have the resin top rails and verticals.

I might have overdesigned but I guess we'll have plenty of room. Now if I could just finish the beast. At least it is nice and cool with low humidity ... HA!

I bought one of these the other day since the price dropped to just over $12. Keep an eye on the price - it seems to fluctuate quite a bit so you might get it when it swings low. I think it is about $17 while I am posting this...

I have a vermiculite floor in my pool. It has to be mixed with water like cement and then troweled to smooth it, again, like cement. It should be hard. There are some pictures in my pool build thread.

Yamaha carries receivers that have ethernet ports so they can be connected to your LAN. They have an app called AV Controller that can then do everything you mentioned. I have a RX-V573 (had it for a few years) and it works great with that.

Ditto on the flying ants. Use a hair net in the skimmer. I pulled and cleaned my cartridge filter the other day and did not see one bug (unless they were already mush).
