    Upgrading our pool

Hi! The plaster has seen better days. I’m guessing it will need a face lift in the next few years. I’m going to do some equipment upgrades in the next few weeks and get the automation going. I think it’s about 8 feet and yes, it’s a good size spa. The pool has a great layout and fits the yard...

    Upgrading our pool

Hi everyone, I’m getting settled into our new house after moving and I can’t help but plan some pool updates and repair. About the pool. It’s an in ground pool and spa, about 20k gal, salt water, with almost all Pentair equipment. I’ve removed the pump powered vacuum, put Winston our robot...

Yup, same here. It doesn't climb up. We put three pool returns on the back of the shelf. They have been doing a good job pushing everything down so far during normal filtering. I'm thinking a light brush every once in a while will keep it good. How many times a week should I run this robot?

I'm loving this thing. It works great! I was driving it around the pool like an RC car.

Ok, it's time to pick a bot out. I'm leaning towards a Dolphin m series something due to some of the more complex features. What do we all think. And keep in mind I love gadgets lol

To follow up with more answers. They also come with 2 sizes of nozzles to install. We went with 3/4" opening under 12" of water. Dedicated pump should be doing about 35gpm each bubbler. Here is the size chart for desired height

If you put it underground you can't see it! That makes Brian's plumbing look cleaner on Insta!

    Hayward OmniLogic not controlling heater

I was able to get it working. I restarted the configuration from scratch to get a fresh start. It worked as designed immediately. I'm guessing some phantom schedules were messing with it from the first week I set a ton of stuff up playing around. Thanks for the help

We have been busy actually swimming in the pool and slowly finishing up the deck, automation, and sunken bar. I thought I would share a pic of Joannie who recently decided she would take up plastering as a light hobby. I also installed a Jandy auto fill. I really like the design of it.

    OmniLogic Network Trouble

Hi, I have 3 suggestions I would try but I am no expert. It appears the OmniLogic is connected because it has an IP assigned 1. When you call Hayward press the number for pool pro instead of customer. I spent hours on hold myself until I figured that out. Ridiculous that hour+ hold...

    Hayward OmniLogic not controlling heater

Thanks for the info Tim, I be all over it Sunday. I'm out of town now. When I take it out of remote mode it works manually. I have been using high rpm on the eco star to ensure there is enough flow. I tried that to rule out the heater's sensors. I have tried rebooting a few times and in...

    Hayward OmniLogic not controlling heater

My H400fdn Hayward Heater will not turn on with the Omnilogic remote reliably. If I take the heater out of bypass mode I can run it manually without issues. I am using the 2 wire remote from the OmniLogic control (lv2) to the heater wiring block. I checked the wires for continuity, reran the...

Patio cover posts went up today. We have footing inspection in the morning and we will pour the concrete in the afternoon. Then we can finally finish the deck.

We got the post holes dug. They are 5'5" deep. Kinda a pain. I'm going to weld up the post caps tomorrow and if I can find a few friends I will stand them up. The automation has been relatively easy to get going but I haven't finished due to time. I have the SWG and the pumps set. I'm...

Here is how I left it Monday night. Still some work to do but it's a great start. Now I need to get this steel up for the patio cover posts! Once the footing are poured I can finish the deck to the house and finish it all the way around the pool.

Stayed up late getting them running and powered. Still need to run the low voltage for the automation though. - - - Updated - - - Is the nature 2 that thingy you had me put next to the sense and dispense?

It is hard to explain. It feels like smooth plaster but a bit softer... I'm really liking the way it feels. Brian and Dave really left the finish perfect. Smooth where you want it and a little more texture on the entry steps for traction.

u Yeah, amateur hour for sure. By the time we saw that it was almost done. I'm thinking we will spend a few months after the pool is done looking at it to come up with a plan. I wanted to see the finished product and be blown away..... I guess the lesson learned is to monitor the progress...

Finally nice and cool out! Time to grout some coping. We ended up using epoxy grout and it's coming out great. And by "we" I mean Joannie. I was working on the deck/mesh fence and stopped when the street lights came on.
