So, we are not doing a pool anymore, I was curious what I could still use to test the water in our new hot tub? I have tried to find some info, but can't seem to find very much.

I would like to be able to do that, but I have already patched a few of the holes with the extra that was sent out to me. I just need something to cover the holes in the wall so that the new liner does not decide to pole through. I got 2 holes that are probably around 6 inches wide.

I appreciate the info, I found several going to be ordering this week. I have to do this because when I pulled my liner out of storage in infamous rats decided they needed to feast on it over the winter. I am looking for an overlap liner for my 16x48 intex pool. I am only able to find a 52inch tall liner. Will this work. I am thinking no because it will not over lap much at all. Any help would be appreciative.

what about putting a cheap submersible pump in there? that way if it rains too much you can always turn on the pump and help keep water out. you can get a pretty cheap one at Harbor Freight.

i use smart plug as well. no problems here, i will say i love the pool light. have had it for 3 years and works each year it is plugged in to start the year

same problem here. you can only lead a horse to water, but you cant make him drink. my neighbor has a pool and just will not listen to anything. he dumps a gallon of liquid chlorine in his pool every sat morning and that is all he does.

we got a dynatrap at the end of last year. if my memory is correct we have not had a bite this year. seems to work pretty good. it stays on 24/7.

i was curious about something. when you all have a pool party, what do you do about the chemicals in the pool. example would be do you all raise the chlorine level? i think there will be 2 or 3 younger teenagers and mostly adults. what is your recommendations?

have you checked out ebay? sometimes you can find just the hoses for a decent price

i just cheap outdoor rugs, they normally dont ever last til the next year, i think i pay like $20 or so each year.

hottest mine ever got was 92, and it was so miserable. i turned on the pool sprayers for like 2 days straight. it finally got back down to 86, which is my favorite, the wife likes 88 the best

i built this last year, and i have been changing out the smart plug in switches to the actual smart plugs. each plug is controlled independently from each other. so you could plug in a light in one plug and something else into the other plug and control them separately.

i actually found the Intex nuts on ebay that were still on the hoses. i think i gave $12 for 3 short Intex hoses, that gave me 6 Intex nuts. i followed the directions i found on this site, and have never had a single problem.

i ended up having to use some DE in my sand filter to filter the powder out. i had to add DE several times, each time i backwashed it took the DE out of the filter as well as the powder. that was the only way i could get it out of my pool. make sure you sweep your pool at least once a day...

here is an idea, not for sure it would work or not, but i have thought about it in the past. would it be possible to get some sheet metal type of material and attach to the inside of the legs. then maybe put the type of liner you want inside. just spit balling here

yes, i used transparent stain. once it was down, it added a little bit of darkness but not too much. mine started to peel a little. i am going to clean this weekend, and reapply. i think i got mine at Home Depot.
