    Cloudy water

Hi, Trying to get my pool opened. I've vacuumed twice to waste and then hit the pool hard with liquid chlorine which got rid of the green water and added acid to lower ph, however, the pool is still cloudy. My current readings with my Taylor kit are: Cl free= 7.5 ph. = 7.4 alk = 180 ppm...

    Leak

    When to run my pump

Is there an optimal time of day to run my pump, and what is the justification for running the pump during a particular time of day? And while we're at it, how long should I run my pump? I have a 15000 gal above ground pool, with a 1.5 hp pump with sand filter. Thanks in advance.

    Where/How to add CYA

New pool owner here. I have an above ground, vinyl 24' round pool and I'm needing to know where/how is the appropriate way to add CYA that is in granular form. Should it go in the skimmer, broadcast over the surface, or in a floating tablet pod thing. Thanks in advance.
