CYA Oddly Low / C3 Tablets

Closed the pool at the end of last season with about 50 CYA. Drained maybe 25% of the water as part of my winterization. Refilled and opened it back up about a month ago. Assumed I would have, say, 25% less CYA (about 35-40). Measured yesterday and I appear to have near 0. Would love...

    Aiper Seagull Pro died...again

Have had the Seagull Pro for one full season and it has died for the second time. First time was the batteries, second time the rotary knob. Anyone have a recommendation for a good cordless robot as well as a good skimmer robot? My pool has one tiny skimmer that needs to be emptied three times...

    K-2006C Replacement Case

So I ordered up a set of refills taking advantage of the annual sale at Refill Sets (awesome!). When I got them in the mail I then realized I hadn't read the description closely where it says these are 1oz bottles and won't fit in the K-2006 case...need the commercial case (K-2006C). Any ideas...

Salt Cell Running at Low Water Temps

I'm fully aware of the lower water temps having an impact on production. My question is: does having the salt cell operating (and not producing much) at lower temps cause any unnecessary wear and tear / build up or is it only a matter of a lack of production?

    Circupool RJ-60 Dummy Cell

I'm looking on Amazon at a dummy cell for the Circupool RJ-60 and seeing a lot of them that list the Hayward T-Cell as their size. Looking at them the cells appear to be about the same dimension / thread / size / etc. Can anyone confirm for me?

    120v Stand Alone SWCG?

I'm looking to add a SWCG to my pool. It's an above ground with 120v available at the equipment (see list below). I'd like your suggestions as to a good 120v standalone (no smart panel here, just a wall plug) generator.

    Home Purchase / Access OmniLogic?

Helping a friend of mine with his new (to him) pool that came with the house he just purchased. We're attempting to gain access to his OmniLogic controller and it says the MSP is already registered. If we can't get ahold of the seller somehow...are there options for resetting this? Looks like...

    Taylor K2006 / CYA test

How obscured does the dot need to be when doing the CYA test? I feel like I can always faintly see it. I’ll typically take a number when it’s “pretty much gone” and then another when it’s “really almost completely gone” and then average the two.

High output return eyeball / diverter?

I've recently replaced my equipment with a nice VS pump and a *massive* sand filter (overkill for sure but I got a great deal on the pair). The first few days I had this running the eyeball was completely removed, the return was wide open. With the pump running at 3,000 RPM I can see a current...

Pump quit, how long can I go?

OK, not sure exactly where to post this thread. My pump locked up last night and I'm working on warranty replacement (only 9 months old). Question is, how long can I go without circulation / filtration before I start having real issues? I'm planning on keeping my chemistry right and using my...

I'm looking to plumb valves at the bottom of my skimmer and my return, anyone know what the thread / plumbing size is on the inside and outside of this skimmer?

    AGP Auto Fill

Looking for ideas on building an auto fill for my AGP. Found a stock tank float valve that will take a garden hose...mulling over trying to figure out how to mount it. Also found a video of someone cutting in a second skimmer and adapting a toilet fill valve, not comfortable cutting into the...

    Automate Dolphin Robotic Cleaner?

I'd like to be able to plug my Dolphin E10 into a smart switched outlet and use SmartThings to automate it. Unfortunately, the controller doesn't start a cycle when plugged in...are there any out there that do? Anyone ever modified the controller to automate it?

    All's well....except TA

Todays test results are looking pretty good. FC: 4 PH: 7.7 TA: 110 CH: 118 (leslies measurement 2 days ago) CYA: 45 Temp: 74 I've finally got the CYA where I need it to be using 3" tabs so I've removed those from the erosion feeder, will use 12% bleach from here on out. My PH seems to be...

    AGP Auto Fill?

Has anyone figured out a way to install an auto fill on their above ground pool? I've got a hard sided one and figure I should be able to rig something up using a skimmer?

    Skimmer Weir Falling Down

I've got a Hayward wide mouth skimmer on my new above ground pool. When the pump is running all is well (the weir is laying flat and leaves are sucked to the bottom of the basket). When the pump shuts off the weir floats up and over and falls down facing out...dumping all the leaves back into...

New pool startup / maintenance....installers chem cocktail (minerals)

Merged threads - TFP Mod So I'm using the Pool Math app and went to add a log entry for chlorine free shock...can't find it. Also added (6) 3" tabs of Trichlor...don't see where I'd enter that one either. I'm sure I'm missing it, anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Prowler 910 (Dolphin E10) Clean When Plugged In

I'd like to figure out how to get my Prowler 910 (a Dolphin E10 with a different sticker) to start the cleaning cycle the moment it is plugged into power. My control box / power supply is the Mayronics "Basic 115". I know the higher end Dolphins have an "Automation Mode" that will do this but...

    Cartridge filter with Sand Filter?

Moved from here. Reviving a very very old thread. I've already got a 200sqft cartridge and a 2hp pump....thought about putting a sand in front of it to keep the big chunks off the cartridge / extend cleaning times. Thoughts?

Wedding Cake steps for a big guy

I'm nearing 400# and would really like to find some steps that are comfortable and strong. We tried the A frame ladder, buckled under my weight. We tried a blow molded A frame, buckled under my weight. We now have some stairs that are able to hold me (barely) but they're narrow and...
