AGP Auto Fill

Looking for ideas on building an auto fill for my AGP. Found a stock tank float valve that will take a garden hose...mulling over trying to figure out how to mount it. Also found a video of someone cutting in a second skimmer and adapting a toilet fill valve, not comfortable cutting into the side of the pool just yet. Anyone ever fashioned something up?

Lots of options out there.. Here is just 1 that can be used, some double sided 3m VHB will hold it there for a very long time but will still come off if you want it off..
