Heater no longer switches from pool to spa temp.

I have a Jandy JXi with Aqualink panel and app. Recently it stopped switching from pool heat to spa heat. It use to work. What happens is I put it in spa mode, then turn on spa heater. But it turns the pool heater on the heater control panel, the spa heats up to the set pool temp. I have to...

    CYA level over time.

Quick question. I have a 12,500 inground with a SWG. Since CYA does not evaporate like chlorine, does the level change with evaporation and auto fill. Meaning with water disappearing then being refilled I would assume the CYA level would go lower? I did a CYA test with a Taylor 2006 and it was...

    Jandy Truclear and Aqualink intergration.

I've been reading and see some people have their Truclear connected to the Auqualink system. I notice my PB did not hook it up the Truclear to the board. Is that something I should have them do? Or can I do it myself. Is the salinity level correct when using it with the app/web?

    Strange tube inside skimmer.

As the caption mentions I have to remove this 4" pipe to access the suction line inside the skimmer to attach my hose so I can manually vacuum the steps and sun deck. Is it required? What I assume what would be the suction in the pool, just below the skimmer feels like water coming out to no...

Is this spillover design prohibiting anything?

I know it's way too late to fix, but curious if this angle design is normal for my spa spillover or if it will it affect anything. My son bright it to my attention that it doesn't look right and should be angled the opposite way. That got me thinking, is it? Is it just cosmetic, will or affect...

    Pool coping material temperature comparison.

I am in the midst of a new pool install in Las Vegas, NV. This time of the year the temps run 105-112 on average and the ground can be very hot and you can barely walk on the ground with no shoes on. That being said, I wanted a coping/paver material that would be cool enough to walk on in the...

Good deal on Dolphin E30, saved $222

I've spent way too much time researching robots. I finally decided on the Dolphin E30. I found a good deal for those interested. I searched Amazon and Google for the best prices, who doesn't, right? I came across one listed for $752.00. I added to my cart and left it there waiting to pull...

Coping width, is this too wide?

Ordering some shellstone for my coping and pavers. The shellstone designer chose a 36" length with a 20" width for the coping and 1.5" depth. Is this normal? 3/4 around the pool will be coping only with synthetic turf abutting it.

    Audio idea for 2 zone.

Pool is almost done and now is the perfect time for me to lay any conduit since the yard is all ripped up. The back yard is about 60' wide by 38' depth. I have a covered patio that will house 2 x OSD AP650. I plan on putting 2 x OSD RS670 in the far back corner. The raise deck and spa are in...

    Question about pump(s), news build.

I was looking over my pool quote and the equipment install. The quote says •Jandy 2.5HP Variable speed pump •Jandy 1HP Booster pump It's a 33x14 pool with a 7x8 standalone spa. But all I see is a 2.7hp vsp pump. Please look attached photo and tell me what you see.

    Outdoor audio and pool controls

I'm in the middle of a pool install. I have plans to add outdoor speakers and a large screen TV or projector setup. I originally planned on wiring the speakers to my in-house amp and use my phone as a controller. But the wife is not tech savvy and could see that being problem down the line...

Currently about to have the pool constructed, along with new patio and hardscaping. My question is this, I live in Las Vegas where it get really hot in the summer, 110 plus. I've was originally going with travertine, but I have now started looking into Marbella/Shellstone since it stays much...
