The gopher wire goes down 18 inches and is secured to the inside of the retaining wall. It extends 1 foot above the yard grade. When we get to backfilling we will fill until we are about an inch below the normal grade of the yard. At that point we will fold the wire towards the pool...trim it...

Well I can say that my XTR poles were galvanized and the powder coat was inside and out. I used silicon at the base where the footer goes on and at the top where it meets the T. But the poles are a lot thicker than my buddies Ultra Frame I helped him put up last year.

Hardware cloth (chicken wire) installed and the pool is up and being filled. She is currently level on all poles across. Now we get to wait forever for it to fill hahaha. It's hot but that water felt AWESOME on my feet!

Just a quick update as I have had family in town for the past few days. Pool came in on Wednesday and Thursday I laid out the pavers. I had some high spots in the center area that I am in the process of shaving down now. I anticipate the pool going up this weekend for its 3 day settling period...

Not a long day of work but productive. Had my daughter out there helping me this morning. She was my level holder for 2hrs as we made the pump house. It will house 2 pumps and a saltwater generator. The pumps inlet will sit right at 2ft 5in high which should be 2 to 3 inches below the supply...

Hahaha YES she is lol. Yes I will be doing the wood work also when the budget allows it. And no the kids did not drive the big toy. I would be rebuilding my house not putting in a pool. Wheel barrow yes they are putting in some work ?

Going with 3ft tall 1/4in holed hardware cloth all the way around to prevent those pesky gophers.
