Read Pool School, but where do I even start!?

Our pebble pool (Wet Edge Satin Matrix) is finally full of tap water (on Sunday). PB came and poured the following in on Tuesday (48 hrs after fill): 1 Quart of "the Magenta Stuff" by Jack's magic 1 gallon of Bleach 1 gallon of Muriatic Acid 31.45% (20 buame) And then he just left! So where do...

Finally got an open hole! (then comes the monsoons...)

Thanks! Sorry, just now saw this. It is called 1x1 Cobblestone Ocean (SNT-132) by Noble Tile out of Houston TX It was one of the level 1 choices that came with our base contract, no upgrade

    Coping after deck pour?

New coping installed today. Much better quality, still a few minor chips (I guess that's to be expected?), but only 3 or 4 spots versus 20 spots on the first batch.

    Modern Coping Ideas Please!

is it a fiberglass pool? Our PB (gunite) said they won't do cantilevered concrete coping, too much skill involved? They are out of Pearland

    Modern Coping Ideas Please!

Just curious was that bluestone considered an upgrade? $$$? That is the look we want as well, but went with a pre-cast concrete dark grey.

    Coping after deck pour?

PB agreed that there's only one right way. They've ripped up all coping, re-ordered all new coping, and pushed deck pour until coping is finished. They said they will make it right, so I'm feeling pretty good!

    Coping after deck pour?

Had some quality control issues with our batch of pre-cast concrete coping (major chipping and coming loose from bond beam), so they are ripping out and re-ordering. But in the meantime they want to pour the concrete decking, then come back and re-install the new coping. Is that an ill advised...

New Pool Build in surrounding area of Houston, Tx which PB to go with.

Premier Pools and Spas out of Pearland is who is building ours currently. Price was reasonable and itemized for us to trim the fat as needed.

New Pool Build - Katy, Texas

Bies, rendering looks good! We are in the middle of our build in east of Houston (Beaumont area) but our PB is from Pearland. They tried to talk me out of SWG, but I insisted and the did it. They're acutally letting me keep the Nature2 Fusion tab chlorinator since it is already plumbed in...

Finally got an open hole! (then comes the monsoons...)

Jeez the long plumb is a bigger mess than the dig day! There are trenches and pvc everywhere! My favorite is the mini-Ex operator cantilevered on the bond beam while straddling the skimmer!

MK, this is the answer i was looking for! Good ol' search feature on TFP forums and I didn't have to start a new thread! Win, Win! Thanks!

    Gunite shell sprung a leak?

Jimmy, PB just emailed and said they are holding off on tile/coping and will try to knock out long plumb and electrical next couple weeks while waiting for dryer conditions, so that's good. I told him we'd rather be patient and wait for favorable conditions for each phase, rather than rush and...

    Gunite shell sprung a leak?

Jim, I also figured once they backfill that void behind the bond beam (that was the ramp they used for the bobcat), then there won't be a massive lake there (so less pressure), it will just be a normal amount of saturated groundwater, and less likely to push through...

    Gunite shell sprung a leak?

I knew the gunite was porous and would soak and leak some, but this is like a faucet! Sitting on our back porch it sounds like a nice little water feature!

    Gunite shell sprung a leak?

After torential rains, there's a ton of water pooled up behind the bond beam wall...and now there's a small spring pouring out through the gunite shell...cause for concern? There is a leak under the return stub, which makes sense, but the one in the far corner is just straight through the...

Finally got an open hole! (then comes the monsoons...)

Anyone else have this bright yellow (and oily) groundwater seep up through their gunite shell? Assume it's just the soil's constituent minerals leaching out...?
