Modern Coping Ideas Please!

We're doing Connecticut Bluestone (2" x 14" x 24" select "true blue" coping, gauged & flamed top). I'm not sure how hot it will get, but a lot of pools near me in CA have this type of coping.

Just curious was that bluestone considered an upgrade? $$$? That is the look we want as well, but went with a pre-cast concrete dark grey.

We are doing a cantilever edge on our pool and not using coping at all.

is it a fiberglass pool? Our PB (gunite) said they won't do cantilevered concrete coping, too much skill involved? They are out of Pearland

Most of our quotes included bluestone since that's what I told them that we wanted (to match existing features in our yard). But, one PB's quote did break out concrete coping vs bluestone coping. The bluestone was about $4000 more than the concrete for a a perimeter of 108 ft.

It’s a gunite pool. They used foam boarders to frame in the concrete.
