I agree with Allen that 3' is way too shallow. Hold a tape measure up and see where 3' hits you. You will not be able to do a full swim stroke at 3'.

It looks great! They did a great job not having too much grout and looks like they used care on how the tiles all fit together. You need to tell the pool service guy bye and take care of your own pool. It is super easy to do with a good test kit. Like Allen said no one will take as good of care...

There was one build where they marked out the dig and had a good before meeting. THEN the digger dug the shallow end on THAT side instead of THIS side!! BIG difference!! They had to move dirt from that end to this end and compact it down good. It was a mess!

Well at least they are using a good test kit. I still say there is something going on with your water. My guess is they are not "hitting the needed levels to have the pool balanced like needed for the coating to stay nice.
