Im completing year 7 on my liner. The pattern on the bottom has slightly faded, but other than that, its in perfect condition. Keeping your water balanced is a big factor in how long a liner will last, and not to mention the quality of the liner.

There is nothing wrong with the light cord conduit being flooded, unless of course the conduit leaks. Obviously I dont know why the putty was applied, but putty is not the right way to fix a conduit leak. It never works out in the long run. A cord stopper slipped around the cable and TIGHTLY...

I added a bit of water to my pool today, and enjoyed it. No testing was done. On a sad note though, my poor ol way overworked robot cleaner gave up the ghost today. I worked her till there was nothing left to give. Shes been my best friend for many years and I'll miss her. :-(

the 33' thing is worse case, assuming the power outlet is at the end of the pool, not more than 10 feet from the edge of the water. You are good if your outlet is in center.

Also to add to the others comments, seeing as you are in Tampa and subject to very high UV, you should be keeping your CYA on the higher side of TFP recommendations, maybe even increase it by 10 might help to reduce the CL consumption a little bit

Drd, we've alway recommended waiting 15 or 20 minutes to test after adding chemicals to the pool. After the waiting period, you can accurately test for all of the parameters.

You're correct in that pucks add stabilizer and chlorine. But if you need to get your stabilizer up a considerable amount, the pucks are way too slow.

The chems arent going anywhere. Physics makes that impossible. Its the test strips. They are notoriously bad, they are even worse than pool store testing.

Hi, if you used the TFP app or Pool Match to determine how much chemicals you need, then yes. Those qtys are correct. Ph def needs to come down to about 7.2 and bring the CYA up to 30. After you have started the SLAM, only test for FC and CCs. No need to test for anything else.
