What did you do to your pool today?

My wife has been bugging me to do the same and I'm struggling with where to start, besides hiring someone.
It couldn't be easier once you have the pieces and see how they fit together. The panels are a top rail and bottom rail filled with a bunch of slats. They pop right apart into 20 pieces. You cut any short sections so that there is extra rail to shove into the slots in the posts. Preferably you shorten it to exactly a slat, but you could cut the last slat to however wide you need.

The gates are pre-made and only need the hardware. Fill the gate posts with cement and let them set to ensure they never sag.

Wow, looks amazing. Is that a kit or do you just have serious skills? (or both!)

Thanks

I used "WamBam Fence" it's a do-it yourself thing. I also did an aluminum fence around the yard. I like the fact that you drive a steel post into the ground, then put a sleeve over the pipe. I don't have to worry about the frost pushing the posts out of the ground.

Been 'opening' my pool since the end of March - LOL - it's finally crystal clear. I thought it had been cold enough a few times to slow down on the bleach (temps kept dropping to 30s-20s, water was barely 40s) but nope... got algae a a few times still
Bleach is SO MUCH now - it's crazy!! Because of that, I've convinced my husband to get a SWG! SO HAPPY!! We'll be installing it very soon. I have it. I just know we'll need some electrical help so waiting on my dad to have time.
I went with the CircuPool CORE 55
I dissolved 600lbs of salt earlier this week, so it's all salted and ready to go.... like a piece of meat....

Got PH up to 7.2 - it seems like it wants to keep dropping.
Oh - I also completely swore off skimmer duty from here on out. No. Nope. Nu-uh. I went to empty it today and was greeted with no less then six AGITATED, HUGE spiders. I had just backwashed so...they got swirled around in there for a few minutes....
I'm not touching that again.

Added enough CYA to get me up to 70 or 80. Sun is out and summer arrives this weekend, with temps in the upper 90s. Water temp was just above 70°, but I dove in to retrieve a golf ball that took a hop into the pool out of my practice net. Felt great!

Spent some time cleaning up the deck around the pool, all the pollen and stuff that washed in last month made everything look grimy. Much better now.

Still got some things I want to do back here. That little house was originally intended to be some sort of "she shed" by the previous owners, but they never did anything with it. It's prewired for electric and actually has an AC, but nothing is hooked up. Right now it's just full of stuff. But I think down the road I'd like to make it a little "cabana" or something with a small fridge with water and drinks, and maybe supplies when there's a cookout going on. I had a natural gas MHP grill at the house I rented recently and I loved that thing, good product. I'd like to install one here because I miss the sheer convenience of that thing.

I've also considered installing some sort of backyard audio system, but I haven't researched them much yet.

I think this is actually the first time I've shown my pool on here lol

Finished adjusting the chemistry and voilà, the green tinge is gone! I'm doing an OCLT tonight, just to see if I have any chlorine loss overnight. Thought about skimming the pollen and few leaves off the surface, but I didn't since it was all headed for the skimmer anyway. Temp is around 70, so even with air temps of mid 80s, not gonna be swimming.

6" of rain this past week. Thank goodness for the overflow drain!

SWCG was screaming it was low. So ran a full suite of tests. Salt was low, CYA had dropped (still in range). Added 1/2 gal of LC to bring up FC for the day, since my trusty SWCG was laid up. Added 40lbs of salt. Brushed the tanning ledge/baja deck while I was brushing in the salt. Put the tanning ledge table in. Heated it up to 88 degrees.

Wind today is brutal, gusting up to about 20 mph. So jumped in a couple of times after mowing and doing some chores. Fortunately the sun was out and made the wind somewhat bearable. Air temps are still a little cool for this kinda breeze and the pool.

Mowed the lawn and looked at the pool covered up as we basically had March temps the last couple of days, water temp is 57 so waiting for warm weather to return and stay. No surprise a steady gale wind was blowing again!!

Literally Nothing!
I know i should be spray washing the tile.

Very funny mister... You put that water back in there now!

I was a bad TFP'er. We had non-stop rain all day Friday and Saturday (like 4" of rain) and I did not take my sorry self outside to test or add LC either day. When I finally emerged from the cave yesterday, FC was down to 2.5 and CC was up to 1.0 so I did that to myself. Yesterday morning I drained out the excess rain water and then the spouse was messing with the plumbing and cutting out the stupid inline chlorinator so I couldn't run the pump most of the day yesterday. I did get LC added in the evening and made the kid stir the pool with the brush. Today I'm back up to 5 and .5 CC. The pump is finally running steadily and we have nice weather on tap through Thursday so I'm aiming for that TFP sparkle this week.

Went outside to take care of my pool this morning..
I didn't have anything to do.
:ROFLMAO:
We got the SWG installed yesterday. Because I had dissolved the salt a week ago, it was ready to go immediately! I put CYA in last night too, and jump-started the FC with cal hypo, ran the vacuum. So today... nothing!
So excited to not deal with bleach bottles this summer.
