my pool has 2" pressure side and 2 1/2" suction side pipes. All the pool equipment is plumbed w/2" pvc. It's in a tight location and there are many 90 degree elbows. I have a Superflo VS pump. Would there be a significant advantage to swap out the 2" pipe and 90 deg elbows with 2.5" and sweeps?
any advantage replacing plumbing and valves to 2 1/2"?

If you have a VS pump, then in theory you should be running at low RPMs.. The slower the water flow the less "bad plumbing" matters.
I agree with Allen, I doubt that you would see any noticeable difference.
