Started trenching the gas line last night. Have 63 feet and half of it is over underground utilities so I figured I may as well do it all by hand. Got about 35' done but cant make it all the way down to the 24" depth mark as there is still some frost down there. Also have to trench the power line line which will be 48 feet. Skidsteer will be here good friday to level the actual pool area. The stakes you see are just to mark off the northern most edge of the deck and equipment pad. Wife picked up the gas line today. Once I hear back from the inspector on what electrical I can use, I can order that. My plumber was telling me in our area as of sept 2018 even TECK CABLE has to be in conduit. Our goal is to be up and running by May 01.

Ugh...at least you got started. I had to dig a 55' trench last weekend for our gas line. I bought a cheap jackhammer off of Amazon. Has already paid for itself many times over. It really does an amazing job. My back still hurts but it could hurt worse....

Brought the skid steer home from work. 2 hours later I had moved about 9 yards of soil. Unfortunately the ground was soft and started to be like jello. Had to stop with about 3" out of level on one side. We will have to wait till the ground dries up before we can finish that section. So glad i own a transit level and it worked like a charm.

We all took a quick dip last night. 55 degrees. Was just a bit chilly! Thank god we could warm up in the hot tub. This AM pool was up to 74 degrees. Skimmer has a light leak. Not sure what to do about that yet. Have a temporary stand setup to get in and out for now. Will start on the deck ASAP. The lumber is already in the yard. Kids are pumped. Will have 8 teenagers in there when i get home from work tonight. Get off my floatie and pass me a cold beer!!!!!

For the skimmer do some light tightening BUT do not go around the face. Go to that corner then the corner across from it then the other corner then that left side one then...............like you would tightening the valve cover on a car or such.

Got the SWCG fired up last night. The good news is the Prologic and my test kit both gave me readings of 2800. How bizarre is that??? lol. Have the cell set to 60% and the pump is currently going to run 24/7 on low speed until I know how the pool reacts to everything.
