My phone doesn't recognize my pruny fingerprints, so I wouldn't want anything pool related relying on a fingerprint. I would go with a combo you can change easily or link it up with arlo or blink to notify you when someone opens it.

Sorry for the confusion. The 6x16 area will be fully enclosed - like a normal shed where kids might occasionally change or throw pool toys. The overall covered area is bigger but this small area is a pretty normal shed. Epoxy paint or sheet vinylay be the way to go

It isn't cheap - so it's already been ruled out. I was thinking paint or vinyl would offer a reasonable amount of protection for minimal cost.

That is something I could look into - already have some from around the pool before the patio. I was thinking protecting the plywood from water made sense - not sure carpet does it though
