    Pressure gauge reads 0 psi

I have a Jandy CS100. Tested my gauge (and bought a new one too... just because) -- and the gauge jumps to 10psi when I apply 10 PSI. When mounted to the canister, I get "0". There is no air in the basket strainer (on the pump) and everything is flowing fine. There are no valves in this...

Another "how to quiet my pump down" questions. Beyond RPM, etc.

Thanks guys. I need to experiment with a few things... There must be solution, I just need to see.

Another "how to quiet my pump down" questions. Beyond RPM, etc.

Ok! So my neighbor and I are trying to make our yards less "jet engine" like. LOL. I've read some of the threads here... but I'm still confused as to best of course of action. I already keep my VSP down. (It has a 3000RPM max, I run it at 2400RPM for 2 hours to let the vacuum work, then I drop...

Best pool vacuum suction hose (Great White)

No worries. I'd like to find a one-piece hose. The "connections" on the modular ones are a problem IMHO.

Best pool vacuum suction hose (Great White)

I have not thought about that. But thanks for offering up an alternate solution. If I'm ever in the market for a "real robot" -- I'll make sure and post a thread about "real robots" -- but... if... it's OK with you... I'm asking about a hose for my - apparently - "not real" robot. LOL.

Best pool vacuum suction hose (Great White)

Simply stated. I am DONE with those multi-piece "click together" hoses. I see many hoses for sale. What is the best one? I am introducing air when I use my pool robot (Great White) and I would like it to end. Thanks!

Pool leak driving me crazy, but do I have it narrowed down now?

Here's my update. Not certain it's much of an update... Maybe you guys have some suggestions. 1) I plugged the bottom drain 2) I plugged the bottom drain skimmer opening (located at the bottom of the skimmer that ties to the bottom drain) Result: The leak appears to have slowed - however I...

Pool leak driving me crazy, but do I have it narrowed down now?

Fun night! Got the two plugs in... cleaned some spots with the wire brush (figured I'd do lots while I have the dive gear out LOL). Filling pool to a certain point. I STILL can't tell, for certain, if it's not leaking through the outlet side or not. I tried a thin piece of plastic to see if...

Pool leak driving me crazy, but do I have it narrowed down now?

Understood. There are no bubbles at all. Which is what leads me to think if this mission fails, it has to be on the outlet (return) side. Which We will find out on Mission 2 (LOL) when/if I plug that.

Pool leak driving me crazy, but do I have it narrowed down now?

Wow! You guys made my day. I thought for sure I wasn't thinking things through. My skimmer does not appear to be threaded (I will check more closely today)... but I did get the rubber style plugs. I can't seem to remember what the bottom drain has. I had the plate off of it a while back...

Pool leak driving me crazy, but do I have it narrowed down now?

Ok! Going to take my time and explain this the best I can! (Mods: Not sure which sub-forum... so I'm putting here...) Inground pool. Flunked the bucket test badly. Losing almost an inch overnight (pump off) and getting worse. Loses when pump on at same rate. Dove the pool with gear. Rit Dye...

Not even sure it's the pump... but could it be the pump? Hayward SP2300VSP Max-Flo VS Variable-Speed Pool Pump.

Success! Thanks for all the help, The tell was that it was coming out of the outlet side of the Jandy like a fire hose, and, at the same time, filling the slight window on the Hayward when doing so. It was an obstruction in the outlet side @ the pool. Funny enough, there is nothing in the...

Not even sure it's the pump... but could it be the pump? Hayward SP2300VSP Max-Flo VS Variable-Speed Pool Pump.

LOL. It's all in my signature. Jandy is the filter, Hayward is the pump.

Not even sure it's the pump... but could it be the pump? Hayward SP2300VSP Max-Flo VS Variable-Speed Pool Pump.

Also, when I open the outflow valve next to the Jandy, the water level in the strainer basket @ the Hayward goes to the top. Logic tells me there's an obstruction at the output side return to the pool? Yes?
