Leak where the tile meets the skimmer

I appreciate all the responses here, very much. I went with the A+B epoxy grout, sealed up a few other cracks while I was at it, and I'm giving it a few days to cure before topping up the pool (the tube says "24 hours", but I'm in no rush). Even when first applied, the aesthetic alone was way...

Leak where the tile meets the skimmer

35k gallon, inground pool, in northwest PA; built in 1992 The 6"x6" tile runs into the skimmer area and adjacent to the plastic skimmer box. The seam between the tile and skimmer box had degraded years ago, and it'd been repaired with some sort of putty/epoxy. One of those repairs recently fell...

Mystery return fitting - please help me ID/remove

My inground, gunite pool is at least 30 years old. I have three returns - two in the deep end, one in the shallow. I also have four "returns" along a bench in the shallow end, with a blower attached for air. The seven returns seem to be identical. They all accept typical 1 1/2" threaded...

Aqua Logic Salt Too High - Cholrinator Off High Salt/Amps

That makes sense. Hmm. Perhaps I'll get my water tested at the local store, and if all checks out, get a new board.

Aqua Logic Salt Too High - Cholrinator Off High Salt/Amps

Just replaced my T-cell-15. Went from readings going lower and lower (eventually reading 0) with the old cell, to now reading 4500-4700 with the new cell. Amps are at 7.98-7.99, when generating chlorine. I appreciate the salt strips aren't especially accurate, but I use the same strips...

    Troubleshooting Air Leak

I appreciate this insight very much. I've cleaned/lubed all known gaskets and it's definitely helped. All plumbing is underground until just before the pump/filter, and everything around the pump/filter is 2-3" PVC pipe. Tough to test these things. Thanks again!

    Troubleshooting Air Leak

Greetings! We've opened our pool for the season and I noticed some concerns re: air in the system. First, We have four returns, plus four "extra?" returns behind a bench we built-in, in the shallow end. There's a split in our plumbing, immediately after the SWG - one leads to the "typical"...

Strange white film - out of nowhere

Hi; thank you! It was not foamy. It did go away a day later. As the heat was the sole "new" thing I changed, I have to believe it came from that. I guess I wasn't paying attention to weather, either, but as I say it's crystal clear now, and it was just a day after posting. Thanks for the reply!

Strange white film - out of nowhere

Saltwater pool, about 40Kgal Opened a few days ago - not too dirty; chemistry wasn't bad at all. Shocked it. Next day, had cleared up nicely; swept and vacuumed. Added salt to get to 3000. Next day, all was well; turned on the chlorine generator. Today, all is well, water clear; chemistry is...
