193,

If the cell has no lights and you have 28 to 40 Volts DC out of the Surge card, then your cell is dead..

Test between the large Red and Black wires going to the Cell right at the surge card.

It could also be a burned pins either at white connector at the Surge card, or at the connector at the bottom of the EasyTouch.

How old is the cell??

A bad com link would not turn all the lights on the cell off. I think that the cell is either not getting the DC voltage, or the cell is bad, and that is what is causing your com issue.

Thanks,

Jim R.

This is only 1 season old

New in ground pool - run only 3 months last year , 1 so far this year - 8 hours per day

193,

Keep in mind I am just telling you how they work.. I have nothing to do with Pentair..

If the cell is only a year old it is under warranty.. I suggest that you contact your pool builder and have him come and fix it or replace it.

Most Cells last 5 to 7 years.. That said, anything can go bad the next day. :(

Thanks,

Jim R.
