Help! I tried posting this in a pool maintenance Facebook group about 10 hours ago, but it still hasn’t been approved, so I’m asking you guys. We had our pool covered for about 5 days because the weather got crummy and we had torrential downpours. I also didn’t feel well so I didn’t go out to check the water and chemicals during that time. When we uncovered it the water was green. Normally we can get it back to normally pretty quickly, but we are now going on like day 4 and it’s still green, and we have a pool party tomorrow
, and also a reservation on Sunday and during the week, so I am stressing out! It is currently 6pm where I live. I will try pretty much anything at this point.
Last night the ph was 7.4 (previously 6.8 or lower), TA was 10 so we added baking soda, FC 0.4, CC 1.2. We added 2 gallons of liquid shock last night, and this morning it is still just as green. The numbers all look good now but still green. I just added 2 bags of HTH super shock since I cannot find HTH Green to Blue kit anywhere local. We’ve also been running the robot vacuum and brushing. Our pool is 25,000 gal. What else can we do? We are really running out of time
Current numbers:
Ph: 7.6
FC: 3
CC: 0.5
TA: 60
CYA: 40
