The one on an angle is probable due to not wanting to drill the center of the block.I'll fill them with polymeric sand to match. The anchors go through the slab under the pavers, they aren't going anywhere.
Yeah. No two of the springs are compressed the same.I'm going to give it some time in the sun and wind and will tighten them up soon.

It looks worse in the pic and is only 2 - 3 inches off, but still. They drilled several other stones in the middle, why is that one special ? Because zero pride in one's work anymore, that's why. *sigh*
No doubt. But why only that one and the other 7 (?) of them that didn't line up with a seam were drilled where they belonged ?
But I know why. It was Beer:30 and they wanted to go. No, it wasn't even lunchtime but construction type jobs start early so anything after 10AM is the 'afternoon'.

Yeah. I was laying in bed last night thinking how I didn't pay the sloppy work price. They sure took the good work money from me. They made about $1k in profit on the cover, plus $500 in labor for 3 hours of work.
They were already coming back anyway to replace this stone
