Display not active on pump

32,

The display showing "Display not active" is a good thing...

One simple thing that can cause a buzzing sound is leaves or debris covering the fan input at the rear of the pump.

Thanks,

Jim R.

maybe it’s more of a quieter siren sound if that makes sense?
Mine had a high pitched whirring noise, kinda like a muffled cricket. It was the plastic shroud over the back of the motor. I chirped for a month straight and stopped as soon as I removed the cover to inspect the fan area.

The cover on my first similar pump made vibration noises, but I could silence them by applying a little pressure to the cover. This one doesn't for whatever reason.

I’ll give that a try because it definitely sounds like that muffled cricket.

The bottom screw of the shroud was fun until I found a Allen key type screwdriver in the bottom of my toolbox. It probably came with some sorta IKEA furniture and it saved the day. Otherwise I would have had to pull the pump.

On my app 'my system alerts' I do have a PUMP 1: Communication Lost and Chlorinator: Communication Lost. Havent seen these appear before.
32,

An intermittent loss of electrical power can cause those alerts, but it should not be causing any pump noise.

Can you still control the speed of the pump with your remote or phone?

Thanks,

Jim R.
