Intelliflo RS-485 disconnected but still "DISPLAY Not Active"

I want to see the settings on my Pentair Intelliflo VSF (it is connected to an Aqualink RS & iAqualink controller) but the display on the pump says "DISPLAY Not Active!"

I've tried temporarily disconnecting the RS-485 but it still says "DISPLAY Not Active!" None of the buttons does anything. Is there anything else I need to do?

How did you disconnect the RS-485 connection?

Unplugged the cable from the pump.

Show us pictures of the pump, the display, and the Cale you disconnected?

Did you try powering the pump off and on with the cable disconnected?

Turned off pump from Aqualink. Turned off power supply to pump. Pulled RS-485 from side of pump. Pump display said Power interrupted (or something close). Turned power back on (with cable disconnected) - back to original Display Not Active message (in first picture).

Update: turning off with cable disconnected, then back on puts it where I expected. Thanks @ajw22
