Hi, TFP.
Please help me set my flow rate on a schedule that will keep my energy bill down and my water clean.
A few pertinent details:
I just had a new IntelliPro installed and have been running the following schedule:
So far it seems to be working really well, but I don't want to leave any potential savings on the table, so I'd be glad to hear your thoughts on that schedule. What do you guys think? What would you adjust given the details above? Any help is appreciated!
And yeah, ditching my old pump (well... it died on me) was probably the best thing to happen to my pool. It's been about a week since we got it installed, and the water is absolutely beautiful. I should have switched out the old single speed pump long ago!

A few pertinent details:
- I have solar panels on my home
- My time of use pricing with PG&E means 4-9pm is "peak pricing"
- I have a spa spillover feature, but nothing else
- My pool filter is a Hayward S244T
- I believe our pool goes from 3ft in the shallow end to 8ft in the deep end, though I am not certain since it was there when we bought the home.
