M600 pictured. No matter what I do, the cable gets twisted and the range of the cleaner is limited. I have disconnected the cable out multiple times, untwisted it, etc. once I put back in, the cable is twisted within one or two cleanings. Thoughts?

The swivel is not going to keep the cable from twisting up. I concluded that it primarily makes getting the twists in the cable out easier. The swivel is too stiff, no doubt to keep it water proof, to easily prevent the cable from twisting.
After our robot runs, I go out and pull on the cable, which removes the majority of the twists via the swivel. I leave the robot in the water but most of the cable I leave on the deck.

Thanks. We leave ours in most of the time but need 75% of the length to reach the entire pool. I just took the twists out. I suppose we just need to be more attentive to it and not wait for it to coil up.

I have the M600 too. I don't get that kind of twisting up, although I do remove it from to pool and stow it on the caddy. Maybe that process removes the twists so they don't build up? IDK.

I have the original non swivel version of the Doheny Discovery (S200) and have to unwind the tangle about every third run. After 4 seasons, I'm getting to the point where I will need a new cable, because the rubber is starting to disentigrate. I imagine a week after I spend the money, the robot will stop working all together.

Some things that I do that "might" help.. About once a week or so, I lay the cable out on the deck in the sun for a few hours.. Not coiled up, but straight...

I only put the least amount of cable I can in the pool with the robot.

I don't coil my cable up on a caddy when the robot is out of the pool.

I take out any twists every few days, I don't wait until it looks like a pretzel..

I have a couple of robots at rent houses where they stay in the pool, unless I am cleaning out the filter.. The cables do twist some, but nothing at all like your pic.

If pool cleaners have a down side, the twisted cable phenomenon is it.

We fought the twisted cable battle with our Active 20. It took a long time of manually untwisting each kink, laying it out dry, and repeating. We finally got it sorted out and the Dang thing died

My M600 cable started getting twisted a few weeks ago. Yesterday the robot died, after inspecting the swivel is full of water and the cable loose (metal crimp for cable loose). Maytronics will not send a replacement cable out, I have to send the whole unit to them AGAIN at the tune of $60 for shipping and then wait 1-2 weeks for them to repair it. This is the 3rd time in 4 months the units has been sent to them for repair.
