Have you discussed how the will backfill those deep fills with the PB? They should be compacted in lifts so the dirt does not settle under your new deck. Check out this thread with the same type of pool for a discussion on proper backfill.
This is what PB offer.
For the VSF we would pay an extra $ 800.
Should I change anything ?
Should I also ask for VS 011028 instead?
Easy Touch automation it has the salt built in

How many gallons in the pool?
If over 25,000 gallons you should get the IC60.
If over 25,000 gallons you should get the IC60.

Ask your PB. 20x40 with 5' average depth would be 30,000 gallons. You probably need an IC60 cell.

That is too high. You need to use average depth that is typically about 5’.

Close to what I thought.
You want your SWG capacity to be 2X your pool volume. The IC60 is what you should get.

Filter. Do we go with cartridge ( 420 ) as suggested by PB or should we ask for sand filter?
I would prefer the cartridge over sand but there's nothing wrong with sand filters.

I don't recognize the model number. IC usually means salt cell.
It should be the CCP520 or part #160332

IC is preface for the swg u want an IC60 not a 40. You want a VS pump not a VSF. As far as their backfill it is very poor judging by the picture. I dont see a compactor anywhere. Hes doing a nice job overall but something as important as backfill for your deck is not worth skimping. With a concrete wall liner pool you can jumping Jack right against the wall and do it nice. I'm hoping you are not planning for pavers or stone decking anytime soon

What is a compactor (backfill) ?
I did request the IC60 this afternoon.
Now we were told the VSF has a sensor connected to the drain on the bottom of the pool. As an example if a child get sucked the sensor would turn the drain off? This os what I was told today in a pool store. I went there to try understand the difference between the vsf and vs. Is this true? We have a 6 and 7 yrs old which we will teach to swim (classes) but knowing about this feature it eased my fears a little bit.
Please what are you all thought?
