The strawberry ale is a light beer with a fairly strong strawberry flavor but not overly fruity and not sweet at all. Since it is light and fruity it is the perfect breakfast beer for me. For those 10am ladies world cup soccer games. :thumleft:
Cool. Thanks. I'm going to look for it in these parts...

The real deal beer fridge.
THATS FOR SURE!! (y) (y) (y)

Very nice. Thanks for sharing. r.
BTW, not sure if you ever saw this thread, but I always thought this was pretty cool. I kind of want one just for the "wow" factor :p.

Yes, the dragons milk original is pretty strong. It'll get you right in a hurry.

Question for all your bottled beer folks, are you concerned about glass breakage?

John
I for one don't let any glass in my pool, adult or child. Some friends get miffed about it, but they want to use my pool, those are the rules. All it takes is one splash and a bottle knocks over and break and you'll never get it all up. With a vinyl liner that would be really bad, but bare feet and glass don't make a good combo. I have plenty of Insulated Yeti cups for people to use.

I totally agree! No glass. I don’t even have glass down at my pool house.

If u like yeti. Look at orca. Lots of options. Same exact quality but a bit cheaper and 100 percent American made.

No glass allowed by guests however we have special coozies for the bottled beer and DW and I are only the ones to have these in while in the pool. For all others they have Tervis tumblers

I am glad I am not the only one, Pour it in a Solo or buys cans. I managed our Residents Club several years back and they would get miffed when I made them take their wine bottles and put them inside. I told them all the time, "That bottle breaks and your paying for the pool to be drained and vacuumed" they changed their mind after that. 10 lane 50 yard competition pool with diving well.

Blessings from the desert....until you get the nettles in your hands and then ???

Ripe prickly pear fruit straight off the cactus -

After picking them, the easiest way to get rid of the nettles is to burn them off. It also removes any gunk on the fruit's surface like lizard poop, giant spiders or venomous scorpions ?

Finally, you can handle them without having to go to the emergency room afterwards....

As a friend of mine once said about living in the desert - everything is designed to either impale you, poison you, or eat you....you are not the apex-predator anymore....

My go-to lazy recipe for prickly pears is this - freeze them for a day, then run them through the fruit juicer being careful to strain the juice through tight cloth and then use the juice to make prickly-pear ice cubes. They are a great additive to many cold beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic alike....perhaps I'll add some to my CDB extractor for a desert-flavored CDB oil :stirpot:

I have never had this. What does it taste like? Sweet or sour

Prickly pear are very, very mildly sweet with a fruity aroma. If they are picked too early, they can be bitter/sour. The fruit inside is an intense magenta/red color with black seeds. You can eat it by splitting it in half and scooping out the insides but not many people like all the seeds. So what people most often do is juice them and then they'll make a reduction of the juice (usually with a lot of sugar added) to make either a jelly out of it or to have it as a syrup to flavor drinks or deserts with. Lots of folks love putting prickly pear syrup on their vanilla ice cream or pancakes.
