Aquabot vs Dolphin

My dolphin is one of my all-time favorite purchases. If it died tomorrow after just one year of service, I'd by another and not complain about the cost (well, maybe I'd complain a little, but I'd buy another in a heartbeat)
Sorry, not a good comparison to the other, but it has been great

I can get an aquabot for $451 CAD vs the dolphin for $748. This is a pretty decent difference, especially since I see people saying the low to mid range robots last about 3 years. Would you say that it's worth the difference? Thanks! (above ground 12x24 oval under a very leafy tree.)

An ABG pool has different needs when it comes to robots.

I know @kimkats has one she likes.
Thanks! I have seen a few top 10 lists for AGP - and it's up there. I'm kicking myself for missing a sale that would have saved me about $200 on it. Right now my best bet is driving to the US to pick one up. Crazy but true. Only 45 mins from the border, so not a huge deal, but I would rather the "ship to my house" option. ;)

I appreciate the quick input! We still have a big top layer of ice in the pool right now, but it's getting less and less each day with the sun.

So- My local store is selling Aquabot Pool Rover S2-40I Robotic Pool Cleaner - AJET121I
for $399 CAD which is - I don't know, 300 USD or so? But I had been looking at this guy:

Not sure what the difference is between the Aquabot Pool Rover S2-40i which my store has, or the Aquabot APRVJR Pool Rover Junior (which I could order from the US for a pretty decent deal right now.) These things can be super good, or, I have heard, last 2 years and then die. Hence wanting the most cost efficient one possible.

Will do some reading, but since I'm more comfortable with the recommendation from Kim vs what my pool store is saying, I may just order from the US and take a little (45 min) road trip. :)

I don't know much about the one I do not have have but it does sound good. I do KNOW mine works great for me and my pool. I have a very large pool and it cleans it from side to side every time I throw her in!

I'm an aquabot cheerleader too! My store had the s2-40i, and it's pretty awesome. I will be getting extra filter bags for it, since I'd like to wash one set and use the other - but it's pretty spectacular. We have trees that are budding and pollinating into our pool, and it picks up the stuff on the bottom. LOVE at first sweep.

This was my 40th birthday present, and it's my absolute favorite!

which dolphin? my dolphin dx 4 just died - cable and motor. there are too many models now. dolphin nautilus cc, ccplus, 200, 400, sigma, cayman, quantum, premier, odyessey ranging from ~$500 to $2000. hard to tell the difference - besides cord length. they all look easier to clean that my cloth filter bag dx4.
