Looks great! You guys really got a lot of work done in the last week or so.![]()
Are you sure it is the Taylor 2006 and not the Taylor 2005? If it is the 6 you are set!! That is one of the recommended kits! The regents are good for one year (some do last longer but it is best to replace after a year to be on the safe side). BUT I just thought of something.....when did the PB buy these kits? Have they been sitting in a hot warehouse? Heat degrades them so.....
Here is a pool care schedule: Pool School - Basic Pool Care Schedule This gives you an idea of what we use the most of.

. Told me the CYA was not even a test worth while..
Wait on the CYA test until tomorrow so it has a chance to get all mixed in good.
Here is a quick look at what interacts together:
-TA and pH work hand in hand-once your plaster cures (could be in as short at time as 3 months and as long a year so...) we will tweak these number to find what works best in your pool.
-FC & CYA are also friends-CYA drives how much FC you will need to keep your water clear BUT if you have too much CYA it would be hard to add enough FC. Here is a chart for that one: Pool School - Chlorine / CYA Chart
Everything else is kind of stand alone stuff. It does all work together when you look a the overall picture for care of your plaster.
I hope that helps.

What brand of CYA did you use?
Is the CYA test water at least hazy at all? Some thing is not adding up.
Ahhhhhh yes CYA has to be added as it is not naturally occurring. Good catch on that part. Tablets used to add chlorine will add CYA as well as the powder shock. At least you know there is some in there with it being hazy.
