Slowly progressing...

So after the movie, it was still raining so I couldn’t work on the pool.
What did I do?...I worked on the pool! haha

The UPS man delivered the cartridge for my filter today (wow, it’s huge! lol)...so I wanted to clean up the housing, redo the fittings, etc. When opened it up, it was pretty nasty inside...

After a a few minutes with the hose and a old scrubber sponge, it cleaned up pretty nice...

I wanted to test the pump, but it has a twist lock cord...so I will have to get the outlet at HD and wire it up.

That filter looks brand new! Great job! Got to love what a little elbow grease can do!

Kim:kim:
No kidding!...I am happy that it cleaned up like it did!

I started planting the 4x8x16 blocks for the delta uprights yesterday before work...it was about a gazillion degrees out in the sun, so it was slow going. Between the water and shade breaks, I managed to get 2 of them planted...

I finished assembling the delta uprights today after work. They were pretty easy except for where the bottom beam gets bolted to the bottom rail using an aluminum T clip, pretty much the only way to do it is with the bottom rail upside down....

Crazy, but that side is done!

Boy this brings back memories to when we got our free pool from the neighbors, and all the work it took to get it set up. It took one year July to July with no work during the fall winter and early spring. Now 13 years later doing a rehab and new liner.

You will have great memories - and stories - after this build.

I don’t know which is more work...taking it down and bringing it to my house or putting it up! haha...I'll let you know after we’re done!

Probably putting it up, since :cool:you have to make sure everything is just right. Taking it down - only when making sure you don't lose any of the parts. LOL

I'll bet he can't wait either!

We did get a little done today after work before the mosquitoes came out. I finished planting the last block so I could get the other 2 delta uprights bolted in...

We also started bringing the sand in, but it was too dark to snap a pic.
