New Build- want to include a small Lazy River

Some updated pics, so coping and tile has been going on for 3 days with a 6 man crew working from about 8:30am- 6:30pm, they are here now hoping to finish up this afternoon. I did not know how time consuming cutting the stone would be. I guess i was expecting thinner pieces and just in small pieces just placed to fit. These guys showed up with large sheets of stone and are cutting them 1 at a time and hand chiseling them in place.

well, I received some updated pics today, they started bringing in fill dirt and grading to prep for the Decking. All coping, tile and Diving Rock are now installed. It seems like we are so close to being able to swim yet so far away... we have to get an inspection next week for the rebar in the decking which will be complete on Fri/Sat... so this means they cant pour till mid next week and then we can do plaster.. They also broke a piece of the coping today by the beach entry so now that piece needs to be cut out and replaced. Here are some updated pics.

That's an incredible amount of stone to cut by hand.

The pool is incredible. I love the deep end. My pool is only 6.5 feet (we inherited it) and my wife and I just yesterday were saying that if we built one we'd probably go deeper, although probably not to 9.

It has been a busy couple of weeks traveling to Ca and Az, I came home and plaster was complete today! the pool is finally getting water!!!! here are a few pics of Decking and Plaster! There is a carpenter working on our cedar bridge to get to the spa and he said it would be about 2 weeks. We are almost at the finish line! i have some cleaning up to do along with installing my low voltage lighting and some Audio.

WHAT??? That is a LOT of progress!!!! CRAZY! You have a REAL pool with water in it. I am hoping you put the hose back in and kept that water filling up. This happened so fast we were not able to tell you to not stop the water flow or it could cause a ring in the pool. Good job having a towel on the end of the hose.

What is the green thing?

Any pics of the bridge?

Nice pool... a bit late, but my concern is the blind spot behind raised spa, you won’t be able to see the swimmers at every moment.

Thanks! We haven’t received any pics on the Bridge yet, the Carpenter working on it said he would send some over once he starts putting it together. I did leave the water running all night and it’s been filling. PB told us to keep the plaster wet so we are out there pretty frequently spraying the walls of the pool and spa.

The Green thing is an outdoor speaker... it’s bigger than I thought it was going to be... I have 2 of those around the pool and 2 other speakers that will be mounted on my patio facing the pool as well. The slide should be installed over the weekend, I’m no hurry since we can’t use it yet so waiting a couple days for the slide install is I big deal for me at the moment.

yes, we knew that going in when we did the raised spa, we just liked the look so much better, the river is 4ft deep and we do not allow the kids in pool without either myself or my wife there. There are spotter tiles at the rivers end before dropping off to 9ft as well as in 4ft area in front of the spa.

That speaker can be hidden if you plant the right plants around it. I think there are smaller versions out there though.

i was actually not expecting them to be this big, our AV engineer recommended these but he didn’t tell me how big they would be, I thought they were the same size that Bose makes which is half the size. I will be looking for someway to make them blend in. I don’t have much free area at the location by the beach entry, there other one won’t be a problem at all as I have a lot of area to plant something.

Beautifully designed

Thanks! The only thing I wished we could have added was the bar stools/bar in the pool. We just didn’t have any $$ left to do that lol.

Most say when all done.. the stools never get used & take up too much swimming real estate.
