Hey there are trees kinda close to them so...........YEAH CHRISTMAS! Now see if she will go out with the inventory list and make sure it is all there! We had a couple where they did not check the list and found a couple of things missing but since they signed for it and did not note the missing stuff they were out of luck :(

Glad you are so close to coming home! Wife must be too! LOL YOU will be on picture duty then!

Well I finally made it home, pretty dark outside now, however even in the dark, it looks bigger than I imagined it would when sketched it out lol. They have finished the excavation, rebar starts going in tomorrow and some of the plumbing will get started this weekend. This are moving very fast!

So today was a busy day, I have to say I was a little shocked at the size this pool came out to be, but i'm very happy with it! There is plenty of room to entertain quite a few people in. All the plumbing was complete including equipment, the steel goes in this weekend. Here's a few pics of the current state

How neat is all of that!!! LOVE it all! We will have so much fun getting flow right for the river ride around the spa!

Are there unions on all of the equipment? Pump, filter, SWG, etc. That way you can service or replace as needed.

Now it is time for you to do your "job"...........go out with a measuring tape......is it wide, deep, long, etc enough? Add about 6" for the gunite and plaster.

The area that I really want you to look at is the lazy river.....once the gunite and plaster is added to both side (spa and pool wall) it looks like it might be kind of narrow. How much open are were your aiming for? Me? I would have it wide enough to ride a circle float through. NOW is the time to fix/tweak as needed/wanted.

Thanks Kim! i did measure and i'm a little nervous on the entry of the river, its a 53" from rebar to rebar and i want a min of 48 inches wide when complete. after about the first 6 ft, it widens up to 58 inches from rebar to rebar throughout the rest of the river. I will be following up with my PB and see that needs to happen.

Good job on the measuring there. It will be easy for them to fix. Time but easy. Push to get what you want!

Kim:kim:

I talked to my PB and he said it wouldn't be a problem to fix, they will push back the rebar to 58 inches in that area :). I'm also very happy with a few changes he made while i was out of town, my wife is very happy! he made the tanning ledge area bigger, he had originally given us a 10ft wide by 4.5ft ledge and made it a 12ft wide by 7.5ft. You know what they say "Happy Wife, Happy Life" right? we still have plenty of space to hang out which was my concern with a large tanning ledge. I didn't measure the total length of the pool before and i just happened to look and he also made it longer by 3ft so i still have the same amount of 4ft depth area in the pool. I have Gunite coming soon and cant wait to see this all come together!

DUDE! You got a good one in the PB! Oh wait..........is there going to be an up charge for these changes HE made??? Oh and on the "fixing the rebar"----trust yet verify" to the max. He means to do it but the workers may forget so..........

LOL, Yes he has been great to work with, no charges for the changes he did, we are hoping Gunite goes in this week as we had a delay last week, hope things start moving along again soon. I'm traveling all this week, so relying on my wife to get check measurements ect if Gunite is able to go in this week. :)

Been a while since my last update, I have been traveling like crazy for work, The Gunite is complete and I have my brother in law watering it while we are away in Southern Ca. My PB said 2-3 times a day for 5-7 days. Electrician is going tomorrow morning, so I will have to rely on my brother in law to help me as we don't get back until Sunday night.
