If they sell a nat-gas version, I can find a way to hack into my existing grill setupI hate messing with propane tanks.
Rob that is a very nice setup for sure...I have no more room on my patio that would do this beauty justice. Im still on the fence regardless because I think this would be so versatile. Another solution Im pursuing is finding an oversized griddle to go on my built in 36" NG grill. I currently use a cast iron griddle but its very crowded...
Your garage is the perfect place for it...kick out the car and make room for the grill![]()
Actually, upon further investigation, I guess (for now) The BlackStone grill is not NG convertible.
Oh well Matt, you can always come by here and admire it!!![]()
Usually requires a different orifice size on the gas valves before the tubes. If they use standard valves, it’s a DIY swap out. You can even, if so inclined, simply drill out the propane orifice with a #52 bit. They’re typically made of brass so it’s an easy material to drill out. Just need to flow some compressed air while doing it to avoid getting shavings jammed into the line.
Perfect, get-er-done. We’ll be expecting photos of your new grill shortly then.![]()
Ok Matt you are such a bad influence on me. Can you guess what I will be making this afternoon?

Wooooohooooo!!!!!
Enjoy!!
Chuck steak or trimmed pot roast (same thing) is the best meat to use. Rib meat is good too. Definitely add your spices to the cubes of meat, mix well and refrigerate until real cold (you can even use the freezer for a quicker chill). You’re gonna love the burgers!!
Can you tell me what size plate you used? Large, Med, or small? Did you refrigerate your your meat before grinding ? Did you refrigerate your meat after grinding. I am using chuck roast to grind. I find it interesting that you seasoned the meat before grinding. Did that include salt pepper etc? Sorry way too many questions but I am having an adult beverage of vodka and grapefruit[emoji482]![]()
Steak Burgers
So this post will also be a bit of a gadget post as well as a food post. For a while now I have been disappointed with the meat options available for making great burgers and I’ve been wanting to vary my meat mix. So I started investigating steak-burger recipes but couldn’t get local butcher to give me the good stuff without gouging me on price. So, I started looking into grinding my own meat. I also didn’t want another gadget to clutter up the kitchen so it dawned on me to use my Kitchen Aid stand mixer. I looked around locally for the meat grinder attachment but all I could find was plastic made junk that looked like it would fall apart the minute I used it. Then I found this bad-boy on Amazon -

Thanks! I have had the KitchenAid grinder in my cart for I don't know how long, trying to get myself to pull the trigger and now I know what my hesitation was. Steel! Been wanting it more for grinding pork since I get beef done in Willcox nearby (our own, preferably LOL) but there seems to be no reason Italian sausage should cost 5 times the amount as fresh pork, especially the uncased!

My brother worked in an Italian salumeria in his younger days (mostly to pay for his truck and motorcycle toys). He’s been sending me fresh Italian sausage recipes for a while now. I will soon have to give that a try....
Ok so Gvode also makes a cheaper meat grinder for $20 less however it is made of aluminum and it is not dishwasher proof. I originally purchased this one but when I found out it was aluminum I had amazon cancel it and reordered the stainless one and I got a $5.00 coupon. I will post pics of what it does later tonite[emoji482]
YUM! Yeah, try some and post up your reviews/recipes!
I saw that too and then found the stainless one. Of course the cheapskate in me hesitated for a few minutes then I said meh, the plastic kitchen aid thing was even more (though it also had some other parts) and this is what I was really wanting anyway. Should be worth it.

I’m super picky when it comes to sausages. I have mine over nighted from Revere Ma (actually now Medford) on dry ice from Bianco & Sons. Hands down the best sausage on the planet!
I usually get 3 cases, hot Italian, (for when I make a gravy) garlic & cheese, and the “you’ll slap yo momma it’s so good” Chinese.
Yum!
