We got our quote for glass beads today. For the entire pool, $4900. For just the floor, $1500. So yeah, no glass beads for us. I have been interested in the shells but have read horror stories on here long term and it scares me. But it is so pretty!!
So I got my price and it's $58 per 5lbs bag. I'm going to get 8 bags so at least 1 will go In each batch of the plaster. It was cheaper than I thought and I hope you need sunglasses to look at my water lol

Yes I am seeing many people have the shells and it seems the brown stuff was more due to bad water chemistry so that is promising.

So there are WAY more glass beads on my porch than I expected. I thought I was only getting 1 50 pound bag but there are 6! Also the pool is nice and clean

So both of those white and brown bags are glass beads from what I read on them. I thought I was getting one 50 pound bag of beads but six 50 pound bags of beads showed up. I haven't seen the shells yet but I'm sure they are coming soon. And it was $58 for each five pound bag of albalone shell, so just under $500 for the shells
Yeah, 50lbs seems standard for each batch. I wonder how many batches your pool will take? That sounds like a lot of shells! Can't wait to see it
Will! 6 bags of beads??????? OH MY! Then add in the shells..........all of the people in airplanes will see your pool as they go over if the sun it out!
Why the two different bags of beads. Did you add extra of one color or did you tweak the colors and this is the result?

So just to clarify for everyone.... I will have 300 pounds of glass beads and 40 pounds of alabone shells
