What's your current pool temp?

82 thanks to my new heat pump I installed last week. It was 69 before running the heater, and took about 14 hours to heat to 82. My pool is heavily shaded so it takes forever to warm up for the season and I finally decided it was time to heat.
With my solar cover on I have not been losing any heat overnight WITHOUT running the heater. 82 is the warmest my pool has ever gotten in the 7 years I have owned it, even in the peak of summer.

We got up to a high of 84° a few weeks ago - and then the weather turned cooler. However, with our safety cover always closed, and the dark green color acting like a solar panel, even on days that have had highs in the 59-62° range we are sticking at 78° in the mornings and get up to 80° plus in the late afternoon. Sun all day on the pool helps I suspect...

Unfortunately I don't really want to get in a pool when it is upper 50's or low 60's and windy - even if the pool is 80° - but that is another problem...

Turned on my heart pump February 16th, pool has been in the 80's since about the Feb 20. Best investment I've made! Have not noticed much difference in my EE bills. Haven't put the cover on for a month and gets back to set point (83) by 2 or 3pm. No solar (our city doesn't approve).

87 or 88. I'm not gonna get out to check. :paddle:

Heat pumps and solar and solar covers are great! Agreed the electric bill isn't a big deal. Especially since the AC isn't running in the house yet.

89! Decided to heat it today. Only took a couple of hours and the temp shot up. Heater was set for 85.

The AquaPod is part of the automation system that was installed with my pool - Hayward's ProLogic. There is a sensor that reads the pool temperature when in pool mode and spa temperature in spa mode. It also allows me to control pretty much everything about the pool - switch between pool and spa mode, turn on the heater in either of those modes, turn on the deck jets, turn on the cleaner, and turn on and control the lights. There's also a networked module you can add that works with an app or web-based interface to control the pool.
