Hayward TriStar VS Pumps
Hayward has many models of pumps:
- Superpump is SS or 2 speed. Automation only controls it through relays. Super Pump is 1990's technology.
- EcoStar was Haywards first VS pump that could be controlled by a RS-485 data link. EcoStar drives has had a lot of failures and the pump is sort of a lemon.
- MaxFlo VS is a medium head pump. The equivalent HP TriStar pump will move more water then the MaxFlo pump.
- PowerFlo is for above ground pools
- TriStar VS Pump is Haywards latest high head generation pump for automation replacing the Northstar line of pumps. It seems to be holding up better then the EcoStar.
Tristar VS pump is the best new Hayward pump to consider.
TriStar VS is available in the following two models:
