Hayward Automation Systems

Hayward does not make it easy to understand the various automation systems Hayward sells and has sold. Hayward has packaged various of their products together under different names.

Hayward acquired Goldline in August 2004 to get their pool automation product line. You will still find systems branded and refereed to as Goldline Systems.

Technical Updates for Pool Professionals shows all the pump models that work with Omni-Based systems.

Verify all system descriptions and specifications on the Hayward Pool Website.

Hayward OmniLogic

The OmniLogic has the widest capabilities of Hayward automation. It is appropriate for new pool construction beyond the ability of the OmniPL system.

OmniLogic (Control): Automation system that has breakers in the unit. Most high/low voltage capability. Top system in their automation tiers. Controls 4 bodies of water (pool, spa, etc.), 16 variable pumps, 4 and expandable up to 8 actuators, up to 5 heaters, includes 4 and expandable to 10 high voltage relays (lights, booster pump, etc.), 4 expandable to 8 low voltage relays, comes ready for salt chlorination, 12 breakers in panel, need to add wifi.

For more information see Hayward OmniLogic.

Hayward OmniPL

OmniPL is the newest Hayward automation system. It is appropriate for new pool construction that fits within its capabilities. The OmniPL is designed to provide the same high-end capabilities as the OmniLogic system

OmniPL (Control): Automation system that has breakers in the unit. Has fewer high voltage and low voltage relays than OmniLogic Automation Panel (hardware) and more than Omnihub (Control). Middle system in their automation tiers. Controls 3 bodies of water (pool, spa, etc.), 8 variable pumps, 4 actuators, 2 heater + 1 solar, 8 high voltage relays (lights, booster pump, etc.), 2 low voltage relay, comes ready for salt chlorination, 8 breakers in panel, built in wifi.

Hayward has the OmniPL Retrofit Kit that is designed to convert old ProLogic, AquaLogic or AquaPlus systems into a web enabled pool automation control with touchscreen interface.

Hayward OmniHub

The OmniHub is designed to retrofit automation on an existing system.

Omnihub (Control): There is no Load Center or circuit breakers in the cabinet. If you want to add this to an S3 system after the fact, this is the model number: AQRS3OMNIKIT. Lowest system in the Hayward automation tiers. Controls 4 bodies of water (pool, spa, etc.), 3 variable pumps, 2 actuators, 1 heater + 1 solar, 3 high voltage relays (lights, booster pump, etc.), 1 low voltage relay, can add AquaRite for chlorination, built in wifi.

AquaRite S3 Omni: Salt system + Omnihub Automation. Uses OmniLogic app.

OmniLogic App

OmniLogic App: App used to control everything remotely. Software. Not to be confused with OmniLogic Hardware. The app can be used across multiple hardware products.

Hayward Prologic

Hayward discontinued AquaLogic in 2008 and replaced it with Prologic. Hayward Automation Guide describes the different versions of the Prologic system and its capabilities.

The Prologic system comes in various configurations for pool only, pool & spa, and various numbers of high voltage relays.

The ProLogic automation uses a separate AquaConnect box and software.

For more information see Hayward ProLogic.

Hayward AquaLogic

Goldline introduced AquaLogic in 2003. Hayward acquired Goldline in August of 2004. Hayward discontinued AquaLogic in 2008 and replaced it with Hayward ProLogic.

For more information see Hayward Aqualogic

Hayward AquaPlus

The AquaPlus system is a Prologic system bundled with a T-15 SWG cell.

The AquaPlus PL-PLUS mode supports 4 Relays, 3 Valves, 1 Heater, Solar, T-Cell.

The AquaPlus PL-PLUS-16V supports AquaPlus, 8 Relays, 4 Valves, 2 Heaters, Solar, T-Cell.

The optional Aquaconnect box and app are used for web based control.
