This is a new post for a current problem that PoolStored has helped me out quite a bit with.
I don't think I ever got a answer, if there is one, to what happened over the last week.
Day 1 - vacuumed significant algae from floor via filter\backwashed
Day 2 - vacuumed similar amount of algae from floor via filter\backwashed
Day 3 - scratching my head trying to figure out where in God's creation all this algae is coming from. my thoughts are that the filter is spitting it back out. called our pool servicer and found out we shooda vacuumed to waste... so we vacuumed to waste\backwashed, brushed the floor.
Day 4 - Crud! significant algae on the floor. Vacuumed to waste\backwashed. Brushed the floor
Day 5 - Holy cow! I need not say any more
Any thoughts on what was going on here?
1. Was my my pool pump regurgitating the algae from the incorrect procedure the first 2 days?
2. What do you think was going on during days 3 & 4 when I was sending that junk to the woods?
it's my understanding that if the substance is smaller than a piece of sand, it will pass through the laterals... ie; algae
Thanks for any help understanding what caused this to happen
