YEAH!

Mostly pentair stuff. Variable speed pump, sand filter, salt clornator. Putting it all in a pool house. 4 Jandy pro series RGBW lights. Composite walls by only Alpha, Agua Brite Blue Lagoon finish. They say they should be done in 2 weeks or so. But there will be some landscaping, fence completion and building the pool house

So they poured the bottom of the pool yesterday. Looks like they did a wonderful job! Yeah! Next up they will be placing the equipment on the pad, hooking that up. Early next week (Weather permitting) they will backfill the pool, and then we'll begin on the deck. I am guessing the will be almost out of here two weeks from Monday. SO FAR I have been quite happy with the builder. Will give a full report when it's all said and done. Have there been any surprises? Yes. Height. I failed to really appreciate just how much my yard falls off on one side. My equipment pad is almost 22" above grade! Yikes! So that added about $400 do the bill. Could have been worse. :)

Some of you know depth was a big deal. In the end we played it quite safe 3' on shallow end down to 3'6" the from 3'6" to 4'6" at the far end. Less than a 3% slope. Halfway into the pool it's 4' deep. Good or bad, we'll find a way to enjoy it. I think it might be perfect.

Based on advice from many of you, a 2nd bench will be added in the far end.

Using Eco-Finish. Originally I had planned to coat the pool in a white coating. I think it was called "Kona Coast" Since then we've switched to a light blue cause I've learned that white is no longer popular and shows all the dirt. I've been doing this for the kids, but I I think it might end up being even more for me. I LOVE how close the pool is to the house, and how small the yard is. I feel like I am tucked into a little slice of heaven. Here's hoping it continues to go smoothly.
